I feel like Cougar fans need to lean into the money. "Sorry your school is poor" should be the answer to every criticism.

Current commissioner of CES I believe? He commented about BYU NIL recently. I dont think its terrible from a fans perspective or even wrong except for the word "never". He said we would never be the highest bidder when it comes to NIL. That could be stated better while highlighting the same principle.

Yeah, that was the only part that seemed dumb. But all we have to do is bid one dollar below the highest bid. Problem solved!

That was some pretty big dumb though. Easily contrasted with a mega-donor very publicly stating "you're not going to outbid us" just a month earlier. Yes, I know this can all be parsed out re: whose money we're actually talking about but functionally it was a poorly chosen statement.

I recall hearing some dumb rumor about that last week, but never following up on it. The US map included in that tweet is very informative.

I have serious doubts about Utah's candidacy for the B10, but if they get in, I think they'll enjoy Rutgers/Nebraska level of success.

I have a degree from Iowa, and one of the best things about that fanbase is that they've learned to be happy with 4-7 win seasons. Kinnick fills up. The tailgating starts at 5am, win-lose-or-draw.

I don't think Utes have that sort of commitment. Just look at their hoops attendance. It was their flagship program for decades, and they have to use a WNBA curtain to hide their shame.
