I will never understand Ute fans that seem insistent on putting it out there that BYU has more money and Utah is struggling with NIL. I don't think this is the shade on BYU that they think it is.

I think some Ute trolls are taking this angle to gather enough attention onto BYU athletic spending so that LDS leadership has to "do something about this use and pursuit of filthy lucre."

Moreover, I don't think that the discrepancy between investments in these programs (FB in particular, don't know about BB) is as big as is portrayed everywhere presently. I think that BYU trolls are trying to show BYU as now the dominant program now and forever because programs ride waves of momentum in recruiting and donations so they wanna ride it real good. But for either side to declare the other dead when they stumble is kind of like a pundit this week declaring OpenAI dead now that DeepSeek has made a splash, when the competition is really far from over.
