Weird. Went to a historic location, lost to a top-ten national power that will likely win its conference by less than a TD, last offensive play was a hard-luck miss by a beloved player.

Sounds like an awesome outcome for fans of uofutah.
      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

What was the attendance and TV rating like? I've heard those are REALLY what matters

Not sure, but people on Truth Social (Elon Musk Edition) are saying that it was 2.54 million, totally killing BYU/Baylor's 2.4 million in the same time slot.

Kwhitt's whining about his kicking game is curious.

I see that Kincaid has declared for the draft and is sitting out the Rose Bowl. Understandable, he hasn't been healthy since Wazzu game. With Phillips also declaring, does that mean he is likewise skipping the Rose? In general I hate when players do that, but in this case I recommend Rising, and most of the defense likewise. It seemed to work fine for tOSU last year.

Texas's top 2 running backs and best defensive player are sitting out the bowl game.

The 12-team playoff can't come fast enough. Bowls have become a joke.

I heard that Rising is done at Utah after this year as well. I assume for the NFL but I can't find verification anywhere.

i guess you never know, but he was pretty dominant in HS - always the best player on the field, etc - definitely deserving of his four star ranking based on what i saw. but yeah i agree.

My daughter is well trained. She asked me to pick up some kind of BYU pants on my way home tonight. Her school had a BYU vs Utah penny drive, in which pennies were positive and all other currency and coin negative. needless to say both were very much in the negative, but what pushed the contest over for the Cougs was when the Utes, showing where they would belong come college time stuffed dollars in their own bucket in an attempt to win. Winning like that is almost like winning twice.
