  • Interestingly enough, Michigan comes to town and they visit LDS landmarks. Sorry, little brother.

I headed towards Lincoln 40 minutes ago. I headed back when I was done using the restroom.

            • I am interested to see how Taysom performs after this injury, which I think is worse than his previous one. It sounds like he has looked good in practice but his type of ankle injury is notorious for having a prolonged recovery.

He is such an explosive player and I enjoy watching him play. I hope he has made a full recovery.

                  • Nebraska announces its 5 suspend players:
                    Michael Rose-Ivey (starting OLB)
                    Jonathan Rose (starting CB)
                    Cethan Carter (starting TE)
Robby Painter (OL Walk on - not on depth chart)
Joe Keel (DE lost from depth chart)

As mentioned earlier, the biggest loss is Rose-Ivey at OLB as a true Freshman LB will get the start in his place. Nebraska has depth at CB,less so with Rose out, but still have quality two-deep at CB with him out. TE seems to have been a lost position at Nebraska but Riley most likey will resurrect it. A co-starter at TE is banged up and day-to-day. Maybe look for a lot more 3-4 WR sets which were common pre-Riley.

I'm getting increasingly more nervous for this game. I feel like both teams are pretty evenly matched, and the fact that it's in Lincoln is not helping my nerves.

What gives me hope is remembering how dominant Taysom was the first four games of last season, and that he was coming off a season-ending injury then, too.

So in short, in Taysom I trust, and the rest of the team can earn my trust as the season progresses. Well, maybe Mitch is there already.

Well, not exactly, but he'd suffered a season ending injury once before at that point.

Has BYU announced their suspensions from the bowl brawl yet? I suspect that Koroma will be part of that which will suck.

I remember reading in this thread that Bronco won't announce BYU's suspensions until after the game. If Koroma is out, that's not good at all for the Cougars. Not just because Koroma is a talented player (and a probable 4-year started at C) but also because the best player on Nebraska's team is DT Collins (#7). The Huskers have three quality DTs that will rotate so BYU's OGs and C will have their work cut out. On a personal level, I want Koroma to play - he's a local kid. I blame myself for not instilling better discipline in Tejan when I was his CTR primary teacher.

Wait, I thought Koroma wasn't LDS? Are you saying you drove him out of the church?
