                Aren't Navy and Air Force our really valuable, skilled, trained, intelligent, deadly, brave, first and last line of defense, military assets? I think of Army as kind of like Utah. Utah students couldn't get in to BYU, and Army cadets couldn't cut it in the Navy or Air Force.

                With that being said, I appreciate their service and sacrifice. Not everyone can be an astronaut. The world needs janitors too.

                            I think you meant that the world needs actual men to allow the Air Force and Navy "boys" to continue to wear their silken underpants.

                                                All the teams outside the top 3 have their flaws. TCU has barely won a couple of their games. Gaylord played a terrible conference schedule. Michigan State shouldn't have beaten Michigan. All in all, I would have still put Michigan State in there.
                                                Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

                                                    Michigan State also needed Oregon playing a broken QB to win, if you can't score on Oregon this year your offense is not good.

                                                        Basically looks like they'll put ND in if they win out. They have 3 games they should win before playing @Stanford on Thanksgiving weekend.
