Lol. Well done. This was my favorite lineOriginally posted by dabrockster View PostI stand before you. A lone man.. A lone man who took your arrow like posts, your incessant words of evil against the almighty team that is.. THE Ohio State University and have no blood drawn. I stand as below.. "WHO'S YOUR DADDY"!

HFN: Tough game. I respect Oregon and you the fan. That is why this day/month/year of gloating will only be slightly less fun.. I am like Waup's Volcano. Set rumbling in obscruity for 10 years, and we now have the eruption of relevance..

I have called the "Winds of Change" and the Big Ten was making a come back. This bowl season was a step in the right direction. We have many things to be excited about. Elevation of coaches in the conference. The soon to be tough UM team under Harbaugh. The next 3 to 5 years under Urban in preparation for what I would like to affectionally call the coming 'Threepeat" as he then kicks an opposing player in a loss and slides into retirement until the next gig.. the ride will be fun. It will be obnoxious for ya'll, and one of great pleasure for me..
Take heed. The insuffeable DaBrockster as arrived!!!!
Oh, YO, JL, DDD.. And Old_Gregg (By the way. That bed was smooth as silk and this dude slept like a baby) etc... Bow before the great one!!!

When was the last time Ohio State was not ranked in the top 15 in recruiting? I don't doubt that Urban brought in some excellent players that no doubt won the national championship for him. But its not like he had to sell any recruit on tOSU to "help him turn it around" at a shcool that had experienced losing seasons. tOSU was elite before he got there.

Oh, I see, Bowling green and Utah fall into that same category. Gotcha. Urban is not a good coach. He didn't do anything good. Losing 2 Heisman candidates in the same year and having a 3rd string QB play his three games in the following: Big Ten Title Game vs. Wisconsin (59-0 drubbing), Sugar Bowl win vs. Bama (Still won even with TO issues), and CF Playoff Title game against the most potent offense in the country and still win with 4 TO's..Originally posted by USUC View PostWhen was the last time Ohio State was not ranked in the top 15 in recruiting? That is the scary thing. The Buckeyes are going to be better next year. The criticisms that Meyer can't build a program are absurd.Originally posted by dabrockster View Post

If Ohio State wasn't on probation in 2012, Meyer probably has another national championship and Saban has one fewer. As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

Do people really think OSU is the best team?Originally posted by dabrockster View PostDDD: I wish to thank you for your wonderful predictions. Not even the curse of Corso could stop destiny.. I think they benefited from a horrible schedule, got hot at the right time, and were incredibly healthy (obvi Cardale Jones is not your typical 3rd string QB).
I hate the idea of an expanding tournament with more games for these kids.

Good hell, all you Urban worshipers only hear what you want to hear. No one is saying Urban is a bad coach you drama queens. I was just subjectively giving my opinion between Saban and Meyer. It was a boring topic to begin with and I stretched it out far too long.Originally posted by dabrockster View PostOh, I see, Bowling green and Utah fall into that same category. Gotcha. The moments that will bother me about this game are the 2 big drops on 3rd down in the first quarter, not kicking the FG on fourth down in the second quarter, and never adjusting to more than a 3 man front and forcing, or trying to force, the ball out of Ezekiel's hands. Cardale was good, he also made some bad plays and it might have made the game interesting if he would have had to make more decisions.
Losing the championship game is rough, but it was such a fun night, and trip, with my boys that'll I'll remember this year and Marcus with nothing but a smile. Congrats daBrock and Brutus and I think there is another Buckeye but I can't remember right now.Get confident, stupid

I understand your point about Nick Saban but it's not difficult to "turn around" LSU or Alabama. Those programs are surrounded by HS talent and have a tradition of winning. And I think you're being overly generous about Saban turning around Michigan St. The five seasons before Saban arrived at Michigan St., the Spartans went: 8-3-1, 3-8, 5-6, 6-6. and 5-6. Sabans's five seasons at Michigan St: 6-5-1, 6-6, 7-5, 6-6, and 10-2. That looks to me like Saban had one good season at Michigan St. in 1999 and leveraged it to get hired at LSU. For a coach that has turned around Michigan St., look no farther than current coach Mark Dantonio.Originally posted by USUC View PostBut again, the 10 years prior to Saban were not noteworthy for recruiting. I'm sure it didn't take long to recover based on their storied past, but my point was that Saban had to turn Sparty around. Saban had to turn LSU around. Saban had to turn Bama around. Urban took over a decently talented Utah team from McBride. He took over an extremely talented Florida team from Zook. And he took over an equally talented team in tOSU. Urban is probably the best coach to motivate top talent. But I just think Saban has done more. Just my opinion.
Agree that its a silly argument about who may be the better coach between Meyer and Saban. Both are great coaches. Reminds me of similar arguments about who was the better coach between Joe Paterno and Bobby Bowden.“Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory.”

You got one thing correct.. You stretched that horrid argument in the first place..Originally posted by USUC View PostGood hell, all you Urban worshipers only hear what you want to hear. You based it off of recruiting and what Saban had vs. Urban. I disagree entirely, and Bama did not have an empty team. As far as the best coach. Opinions can differ to sway one way or the other. Saban has more NC titles etc. Urban is a master motivator and will surpass Saban in titles. One thing is clear, they are both equally good. Their record against each other I believe is now 2-2.
