    • You've earned this, Brock. Make sure to get your entire body covered in the mud that is righteous indignation.

      • I hope the 49ers don't interview Mark Helfrich. I would not mind at all if they interviewed Urban Meyer, though I know that wouldn't go anywhere.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

        • 7 minutes left in the game, down 15 points and it's 4th and 7 and you punt? I realize you don't have a great chance at converting a 4th and 7, but it has to be better than stopping Ohio State on a 3 and out at that point in the game. Oregon's defense was exhausted.

2/3 of the teams in the NFL would probably put Ezekiel Elliott as their #1 back right now. Holy cow that guy's great.

                  • My 'morning after' impression of Elliott. Still a great RB, but I wonder how much of his performance can be explained by the glaring deficiencies of the Oregon defensive line.
That said, he likely has a good future in the NFL.

Elliot had 23 carries for 154 yards against Michigan state (#1 rush defense in the country)
26 carries for 109 yards against Penn State (#3 rush defense in the country)
20 carries for 230 yards against Alabama (#4 rush defense in the country)
17 carries for 122 yards against Michigan (#15 rush defense in the country)
20 carries for 220 yards against Wisconsin (#22 rush defense in the country)

So yeah it had nothing to do with Oregons shitty D-line. He torches everyone.

I don't understand how this guy wasn't given more credit earlier in the year. The Alabama game was the first time I'd seen him run and I was blown away. He has a great, physical o-line, but he is special.

He rushed for less than 100 yards in six of OSU's first ten games this year. His YPC was really good, but I think he just got overshadowed by Gordon and even Perine, who both had multiple 200-yard games and each had a 400-yard game before Elliott had his first 200-yard game against Wisconsin.
