This seems about right. Someone did mention on the radio the other day that the PAC12 south was the second hardest conference in the country behind the SEC west.

Well, to have a great season, you have to beat two really good teams and those were the two best wins I saw on our schedule that year.
Ole Miss was 2-10, Oregon State was 3-9

If the Utes win out they'll be in the Final Four.

The P12 is viewed as down because USC isn't great. Until Oregon, Stanford or obviously Utah win a national championship the conference is going to be viewed as inferior when USC isn't good. I understand that, unfortunately USC hired a guy who probably can't win a national championship even with the most talented roster west of Tuscaloosa. So the conference is at a crossroads.

I will bet you money Bronco and several posters on here called it a great season. Can you really have a great season unless you beat at least 1 really good team. So you pick the really good team, Ole Miss or OSU.

unlike our field-rushing Ute brethren who come here to engage in muckraking, i wont begrudge the utes their success. What they have accomplished thus far this season is of good report and praiseworthy. The PAC is good this year, as it is every year. I dont mind admitting that it isnt as strong as the SEC from top to bottom, but it is at worst the second strongest conference out there. Beating USC was a big deal for Utah because clearly they expected to lose, which is also as it is every year. My hats go off to Utah for beating USC at the last second in a year when they dressed 48 scholarship players!

I would like to see that happen, but it won't. Not a prayer of it happening.

I do think a healthy Oregon is elite. But Wazzu has some embarrassing losses. Washington isn't as good as thought. USC has depth issues (and always gets hype based on potential, even when not warranted), UCLA is a turd. South Carolina and A&M are down, but Miss. St and Ole-Miss are up. The SEC is truly deep.

Same with ASU, Arizona and Oregon. Meanwhile Chris Peterson is wondering why he has to coach every single week in this conference, when does he get that run of 7-8 games against HS teams?

there is a lot of football left, especially with conference championships. If Utah does win out (unlikely) they have a very good shot at the playoff.

If the Utes beat ASU, Oregon, Arizona, Colorado, and then Oregon again, yeah they probably will.

UNless you meant "no they wont," as in, "no, they wont win out." in which case
