Damn what a huge get for both the football program and rugby- just in time for fall camp. He's a NZ rugby blue chipper with professional offers already. This kid probably wants to follow in the footsteps of Lasike or Ziggy.

They were talking about Gustin for a minute this morning on the radio, and both radio guys were getting a pretty good chuckle out of the fact that Gustin held a 30 minute press conference, during which he took about 90 seconds to tell everyone where he was going - and his father spent the rest of that time.

Gustin is probably going to be a pretty good college player. And his father is definitely going to cause some headaches.

(These same radio guys also talked about how Bronco used to regularly get phone messages from one particular QB's father asking why his son wasn't playing. And to Bronco's credit, he ignored the calls. They went on to say that the guy they were referring to was NOT a big recruit and not someone you would expect - without using a name.)

No idea - just that after talking about the situation, they also said this wasn't Jake Heaps dad calling. In fact, it wasn't a kid who was highly recruited at all. Someone that you wouldn't really think of.

Speaking of over-involved parents...this was all part of the discussion revolving around the Kafentzis kid transferring from Wisconsin. They said that back when he was at Jordan, his dad called up and negotiated an advertising contract with the radio station for his pizza joint - and then threw in that as part of this he'd also like to have them interview the kid on air. Making it clear that the kid didn't know he was doing the advertising contract and he didn't want the kid to know that he had "suggested" they interview him.

Run, do not walk, to the nearest available exit!

It has to have been him. He is the only QB BYU had under Bronco who both did not play and was also not a big time recruit.

Do any of you have information to confirm or dispell football players (or any athletes for that matter) being kicked out of the IPF so that activities outside of athletics can take place? Some mention of it I caught on CB.
