Schools which look even better after another draft weekend for BYU with no-one drafted. I wish I could blame this on either failure at player development or failure to recruit talent. I suspect its both.

It's mostly a recruting problem. Bronco's original strategy didn't work (make the player recruit us). I think in the last couple of years he's changed it and we're starting to recruit better again, but at BYU it takes years to turn around the recruiting pipeline. Even Gary Crowton could send lots of players into the NFL. Bronco wins a lot more than Gary did with lesser talent, but I think he recently realized how badly they need the talent again.

Has the fact that BYU will be offering $4500 for cost of attendance for scholarship athletes been discussed yet?

That is great news and puts BYU among the highest paying schools in the country.

I haven't chimed in on this topic yet. I think it's super. I'm glad BYU is doing it. Anyone else have thoughts on this matter?

Considering: Ole Miss, Kansas State, Boise State, Nevada, Marquette, BYU, Vanderbilt, Nebraska

He averaged about 12ppg and 6 rpg the last two years. Would be obvious upgrade over Neilson.

You are correct. BYU is WAY better than Weber State.

At least at this post-spring/pre-summer workout juncture they are, that is. The college football off-season is just so crazy, you never know what is gonna happen week-to-week.
