Yeah, toxic with the Spirit of God.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

One thing I am sure of is Bronco gives the kids full disclosure. Even with the warnings some kids think they can handle it.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostBecause non-LDS kids need full disclosure about BYU and how for about 98% of non-LDS kids it is a toxic environment.
I don't know if I would use the word toxic, actually I am sure I wouldn't use the word toxic. However, I would agree that BYU is not a good fit for 98% of non-LDS kids. Probably not a good fit for 75% of LDS kids.

This is utter rubbish, of course. I know countless non-lds BYU grads that consider BYU one of the greatest things that ever happened to them.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostBecause non-LDS kids need full disclosure about BYU and how for about 98% of non-LDS kids it is a toxic environment.
But keep the troll going. Not only did you get that knucklehead byu71 to buy into it, he doubled down! Ha. Well done."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

If you were half as smart as you think you are, you wouldn't be such a dip shit. Do you have any idea how many non-lds kids there are in the US alone. I would think a global warming expert would have an idea. Do you think the countless non-LDS BYU grads you know represent 2% of the non-lds kids in the US?Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostThis is utter rubbish, of course. What percent of non-LDS kids have the academics to even get into BYU? Try thinking before reacting.
Just because 98% wouldn't fit at BYU doesn't mean BYU isn't a great University.
Talk about someone getting trolled. Have any mirrors around?Last edited by byu71; 08-19-2015, 08:35 AM.

Agreed. Most of my friends at BYU were non-LDS. All great fits, by the way, because they interviewed a lot of places and knew what was up. Did they think the honor code was weird? Sure- so did I. But nobody cared because of the gigantic discount on a good degree.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostThis is utter rubbish, of course. this seems like a swing far in the other direction. no way that most of your friends at BYU were non-LDS. You would have to go very far out of your way for that to be true.Originally posted by Commando View PostAgreed. Most of my friends at BYU were non-LDS. Maybe "most" is pushing it. A lot of them, maybe 51% even though I didn't have 100 friends. I probably had 7 or 8 friends and 4 of them were non LDS.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View Postthis seems like a swing far in the other direction. no way that most of your friends at BYU were non-LDS. A lot of great non-LDS athletes have passed through BYU. A small percentage, very small as far as I know have bad things to say about their experience.
I am curious though and wish Indy were still around because he would probably know, what percent of non-LDS athletes either get suspended or kicked out vs LDS athletes?
I would be surprised if the percentage was close, but not shocked.
