No way. Funk is a blast.

I don't think there's much chance of that. OR needs to win out. That's about the only hope.

These are strange, unpredictable times in college football, and there’s no place wilder than the West. It hasn’t been merely odd; it’s been damaging. No conference was hurt more by a historically volatile college football weekend: Oregon went down. UCLA went down. Stanford went down again.

The result: The Pac-12 isn’t going to have a representative in the College Football Playoff. It wasn’t the league we projected to be shut out, but that’s where we’re heading.
The good news, if it can be construed as such, is the Pac-12 race is going to be a blast to watch. We've already seen two games won on Hail Mary passes in a little more than a month.

It’s going to be an enjoyable, entertaining journey to December; the destination, however, is the Pac-12 champ in a New Year’s Six game and not the playoff. Would’ve sounded crazy to me in August, but here we are.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

The Pac doesn't appear to be in a good place, I'm going to hold off saying it won't happen until mid-November. There are a lot of potential losses still out there. Someone keeps referencing 2007, Tebow and the champion Gators that year lost at home to an Ole Miss team that wasn't as good as Arizona. If only Marcus had promised no team would ever work harder after the game!

Edit: I guess that was 2008.

Usually that is a comparison operator that returns -1, 0, or 1 for less than, equal to, or greater than, respectively.

Not only are the values equal but the types are also.

Of course strongly typed languages do not need this comparison operator.

Depends on how the rest of the season goes.

I see 3 sure losses left on the schedule: USC, @Stanford, Oregon

That puts the Utes at 4-4

The games that are winnable are @Oregon St, @ASU, Arizona, and @Colorado

0-4 or 1-3 in those games: fire
                      2-2 in those games: retain
3-2 or 4-0 in those games: extend his contract.

5 wins or less and the Utes have to fire him.

USC is going to lose 4-5 games this season. That defense is atrocious. The offense is nice but the D is naughty.

The Utes' first three wins are all crap. Beating UCLA on the road was a great win, although UCLA may turn out to be just "ok" this season, not really that great. In short, I have no idea how good this Utah team really is. I dont think anybody does. but the PAC is wide open this year. there are no great teams, only several good ones.

Sark is ok. I have always felt that he was ok, not great. Unlike SeattleUte, who claimed that hiring whats his face was the greatest hire of the year and now UW is unranked and sucks.

I can't come to a conclusion after 5 games. Who does that?? SC lacks depth because of the sanctions but the defense needs to make better decisions.

While I understand your extreme optimism (TIC), I don't think Utah loses all three of those games. USC has flaws and the game is in SLC. That game has been close in the past and I think Utah is better this year than in the past. What do you see from Stanford that makes you think that is a sure loss? Especially when you consider that Utah beat them last year, this year Utah is better and Stanford is worse? Oregon? This is the one I'd put as close as any to a sure loss, but, again, Oregon has issues. I know you now bleed green and yellow...and silver...and mossy brown...and grey....and pink and whatever they wear up there, but Oregon isn't going to just walk into Salt Lake and dominate. Oregon's O-line is a mess (You've seen what Utah's D line can do, haven't you?) and their defensive backfield outside of Ekpre Olamu has issues.

I think Utah wins at least one of those three games.
