It was pretty damn electric in my living room. I can only imagine what the stadium was like.Originally posted by Joe Public View PostI guess last weekend's recruiting event went well."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I don't remember a football game that equaled it in terms overall atmosphere, except perhaps the 1984 Holiday Bowl. That game however was quite cold in terms of air temperature, so you struggled to stay warm at times. This game had the most perfect weather I've experienced for a football game. I wanted to say the 1985 BYU Air Force game was similar, but that was frustrating with Bosco underperforming until the end when Vai Sikahema came to the rescue. One other was about as electric, Ty's 1990 Miami victory. It was one you would have wished you attended.Originally posted by Commando View PostIt was pretty damn electric in my living room. Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

It was an awesome experience. The wild uproar from Mitch's catch was followed by the euphoria of Nacua's pick six. I still think the 09 pass from Hall to George was the best stadium experience I've had at LES.Originally posted by Topper View PostI don't remember a football game that equaled it in terms overall atmosphere, except perhaps the 1984 Holiday Bowl. Staley down the sideline for 6.
Hall to Collie on 4th down; Unga running over the defender for the TD."I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"

Hall to Collie was great. I was in the Southendzone on that one with my boys.Originally posted by Pelado View PostStaley down the sideline for 6.

However, the pure joy of Juergens coming down with it was amazing. I was Eastside, ten yard line and couldn't tell he had caught it until the crowd roared. The BSU fans behind us were sullen."Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

It was my best LES experience, but Kelly Smith catching that pass vs Michigan in '84 still gets me all tingly.Originally posted by Nakoma View PostIt was an awesome experience. I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

I was there for every great moment in LES except the ones the last two years.
My favorite is still Miami. I can still remember several of Miami's players before the game strutting from one end of the field to the other with their fingers wagging at the crowd.
It was just great when the game ended watching those Miami players on their knees with their faces in their hands.

I think it might be time for you to consider getting back on board. BYU players can now on national TV slobberknocker another dude's junk and all the tweets of pious concern from ALUFs, ALAFs and ALBFs seem to falling upon deaf ears. Your prayers, unlike the Miami football players, might be being answered.Originally posted by byu71 View PostI was there for every great moment in LES except the ones the last two years.

I am considering it. The priority seating is lost if we don't buy next year.Originally posted by Goatnapper'96 View PostI think it might be time for you to consider getting back on board. I think it is pretty consistent for older people to get tighter with their money. I look at the home schedule and it is just hard for me to justify $2,400. I am in great hopes there are plenty of others who can. I really want to see sold out LES.

That was my older sister's Freshman year. She was there at the game. We actually saw her on screen during the game. I remember sitting in the basement at my parent's house watching the game. We invited some friends over and we sat and watched the game. I was a nervous wreck the whole game. I somehow got a hold of one of my mom's knitting needles and completely mangled it, earning her ire. The next day at HS Football practice was awesome. The coaches actually used the game saving pass break-up as an example of how breaking up passes should be done. Anyway, that is one of the greatest games I remember so clearly. I remember the Miracle Bowl, but barely, I was only 6.Originally posted by byu71 View PostI was there for every great moment in LES except the ones the last two years.

That is the thing about being hooked on BYU, you get just enough to keep coming back. I hadn't been back in quite some time, and really enjoyed the Boise game. Only regret is son number 2 couldn't come. If he gets in, then I'll have lots of good reasons to come back. Maybe 71 can buy his priority seating and I'll buy some from him for next year.Originally posted by byu71 View PostI was there for every great moment in LES except the ones the last two years.

Yea, that is a possibility.Originally posted by Topper View PostThat is the thing about being hooked on BYU, you get just enough to keep coming back. I remember my last days on CB and on occasion complaining about the schedule. I would get posters calling me unloyal and how they would buy tickets just because it is BYU and it didn't matter who they played. I would boardmail them offering to sell the tickets to them. Never heard back from any of them.
It surprises me sometimes how conservative people at times do want to tell others how to spend their money.

UCLA
Mississippi State
USU
Toledo
UMass
FCS likely
One great, One very good, two good and two you likely don't want to attend.
But I think the Big 12 is getting closer and then the schedule would go to:
2-3 great
2-3 very good
1-2 good to sucky
You might want to make sure you can still pull the trigger to enjoy that when it does arrive. You and MonaLisaVito both have that biological clock that is tick, tick, ticking!Do Your Damnedest In An Ostentatious Manner All The Time!
