It's not unprecedented that a team has jumped another team despite both teams winning. Happened last week when TCU went from 5 to 3 and FSU went from 3 to 4 yet they both won.

Well, one thing ESPN talking heads have had a hard time accepting this year is that they don't control the votes like they used to. The committee actually makes their own decision, not just regurgitate the four letter. So the lobbying against TCU by ESPN doesn't mean much. ESPN heads hated the TCU jump last week.

Sure it is, I never said that it wasn't. I was just pointing out that ESPN railing against doesn't mean what it would've meant in the BCS era when they influenced the voting mich more.

CFP needs to be 8 (or even 16) teams. Figuring out the #4 team is one thing, but nobody will care about #9 or #17 getting screwed.

Top 4 teams are Alabama, Oregon, Florida State, and Ohio State. In that order.

Florida State absolutely should be in the 4-team playoff.

That said, I think they are the sixth best team in the country:

1. Bama
2. Oregon
3. TCU
4. Baylor
5. Ohio State
6. Florida State

That's how I would rank the teams if they were matching up on a neutral field and I had to pick winners.

Does the committee think its job is to do a Vegas Oddsmakers poll or to reward a good season? If it's a Vegas oddsmakers poll then based on all these close FSU wins against crap teams they should be left out.

The only thing I know for sure is that I'm really glad Oregon beat down Arizona and hopefully removed any doubt from their selection. Had they snuck out a 3-7 point win I'd be really nervous now.
