Briles is ripping the Big 12 right now. His postgame press conference is great.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostConferences actually have to submit a champion to the committee and the Big 12 has refused to do so.
Said why have a campaign stating one true champion only to say co champs later. Said he doesn't care, he's not beholden to the Big 12, but beholden to Baylor. THIS.Originally posted by LiveCoug View PostIt's not unprecedented that a team has jumped another team despite both teams winning. Happened last week when TCU went from 5 to 3 and FSU went from 3 to 4 yet they both won.
How can anyone possibly argue that TCU has no right to be jumped after beating a shitty team, given this fact?"There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

It's not that they don't have a right to be jumped. It's just that I don't think it will happen.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostTHIS.

That's not the point, amigo. I never claimed that the committee has to accept what ESPN decides. Come on, man.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostWell, one thing ESPN talking heads have had a hard time accepting this year is that they don't control the votes like they used to. The committee actually makes their own decision, not just regurgitate the four letter. So the lobbying against TCU by ESPN doesn't mean much. ESPN heads hated the TCU jump last week.
The point is that it is a legitimate argument."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Sure it is, I never said that it wasn't. I was just pointing out that ESPN railing against doesn't mean what it would've meant in the BCS era when they influenced the voting mich more.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostThat's not the point, amigo. A few thoughts:
LOL @ anyone who thinks CFP controversy will somehow get BYU in the Big 12.
CFP needs to be 8 (or even 16) teams. Figuring out the #4 team is one thing, but nobody will care about #9 or #17 getting screwed.
Top 4 teams are Alabama, Oregon, Florida State, and Ohio State. In that order."Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. They were all against me. Tried every dirty trick to cut me down, but I beat the bastards and left them in the ditch."

Guarantee they are in? Of course not. Improve the odds? Absolutely."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Florida State absolutely should be in the 4-team playoff.
That said, I think they are the sixth best team in the country:
1. Bama
2. Oregon
3. TCU
4. Baylor
5. Ohio State
6. Florida State
That's how I would rank the teams if they were matching up on a neutral field and I had to pick winners.
Does the committee think its job is to do a Vegas Oddsmakers poll or to reward a good season? If it's a Vegas oddsmakers poll then based on all these close FSU wins against crap teams they should be left out.Last edited by CardiacCoug; 12-06-2014, 10:47 PM.

The only thing I know for sure is that I'm really glad Oregon beat down Arizona and hopefully removed any doubt from their selection. Had they snuck out a 3-7 point win I'd be really nervous now.Get confident, stupid

Odds? LOL. You are talking about going from 0.1% to 0.2%. How do you like those odds, Lloyd Christmas?Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostLOL @ anyone who thinks CFP controversy will not improve BYU's odds of getting in the B12.
