I am not as worried about Bills because I don't think Hendrick is half the passing QB that O'Korn was (that freshman was impressive - he could have folded after the first play but hung in there and shook off several TFLs and Sacks and made plays and throws). Besides, Bills was a pre-game scratch because of a headache. I think, am hoping, he'll be fine to go this Friday. We beat a much better offensive team in Houston without him on the road.

Jamaal on the other hand put his value to the offense on display. After he went out our inside run game was pretty much garbage and the pass protection was even worse. Baby J doesn't get enough credit for his pass blocking. He'll stand up linebackers and we needed that when Houston dialed up all of those delayed blitzes and slow twisting stunts. It was frustrating to see Lasike not pick up anyone repeatedly. And because of Baby J's injury and the ineffectiveness of the running game Taysom had to carry the ball far more than I wanted.

That's the song I always hear in my head when someone mentions Boyz In the Hood. I am lame.

It was my first year of law school. That was a pretty awful year to be able to attend all of the home games for the first time in my life. I did get to see Leinart/Bush. The highlight of that game was the Matt Payne's 70 yard punt.

As for 3-0, that was the coldest i've ever been at a game where I was actually prepared for the cold. I've been colder a couple of times where I was unprepared for the weather.

I can't decide which was worse: the 2003 defeat to BSU or the 2003 defeat to CSU, both at home. That was the absolute low point of this program in my lifetime. In both cases the team just seemed to give up.

That game was both a high and a low point for Matt Payne's career.

It resembled so much of the Crowton regime. Stupendous highlights and then the game is lost because of an inability to consistently nail the basic shit.

It started with those shit uniforms. What a crappy helmet. What was BYU thinking? Those were some awful years for merch.

One of the great takeaways from the Houston game was, this team found a way to win the type of game it has been losing since Beck graduated.
