As far as crowd attendance is concerned....we live in metro area with 6 million plus folks with al kine of entertainment activity with Professional football team unlike some other places...so poeple here have many options to spend there dollar.I been ion this town may years attended many games..where I've attned gams with 87,000 people in attendance with 15,000 in attendance...people here will not go unless the program is winning making some nosie nationally ..and antoher thing we loss our natural rivals UT TAMU Texas Tech, etc.....UT and A&M won't play us,,,but they;ll play Rice Univeristy i wonder why? Becasue they know it's not a easy win. Football is beome TV event now...with our games being on T.V. now, a lot of people buy tickets then stay hom to watch the game..to lazy to get off the a** to come

Ya'll no nothin about UH...admittedly we had some so-so years after the old Southwest Conference broke up. Was independent for about 15 years before the SWC days beat some top ranked programs...the vaunted veer your team uses and the pro's use now (ala Kapernik and others), just in a different variation, was created by our head Coach Bill Yeoman 2nd most winningest coach in of all Texas college football history in the Texas Football college Hall of Fame just behind the great Coach Darrell Royal of UT. Dominated the old Southwest Conference and went to Cotton Bowl the first 3 out of 4 (bitch slapping Texas, Texas A&M and the rest) years in the conference beating power teams like Nebraska...Maryland...got cheated out of victory against Notre Dame in last second TD that was a phantom call ...was constantly in the national ranking till we got screwed by the SWC splitting up and Texas politics played into who got into the Big 12. Sounds like we have a chip on our shoulders; we do. You know nuth'in about us...but you are about to find out.

Tripledaddy I venture to say they will about 35-40K give or take (we had 35k for Rice game and Rice poeple don't go to football games, both schools in the same city) mostly UH people there, keep mind we are not playing 2013 games on campus while our new stadium is being built now if BYU supporters show up, could be much better crowd. We use to play games in the Astrodome back in the day talking about the late 70's early 80's, we averaged about 45k consitently in the dome and it only held about 52,000 people, and this back in the late 70's and 80's w're talking about here ...when we played UT, A&M, Arkansas they would be sell out games. Considered by many sport historians the greatest college basketball game of the 20th century UCLA vs UH we played in the Astrodome, 1st BB game to be played in such a venue of that size with the size crowd with a attendance record that lasted for decades at 52k plus attending If you don't believe it, check your sport history.

Two teams in the same city and you barely manage 35,000. You only had 20k against Memphis and 25k at the season opener.

UTSA had 32k at home when they played Houston.

Your attendance is abysmal I hope this new stadium isn't very big.
