Clearly he forgot about De'Anthony Thomas

EDIT: 4 of top 8 NFL prospects at RB are from the PAC12 (Thomas, Grice, Carey and Redd)

I guess thats why we play the game.

FWIW I would take Williams over any back in the Pac 12.
I don't think Utah will stop Williams or Hill's running game. I think we can contain it enough to get a win and force Hill to pass more. If Hill can throw the ball, the game is over.

You really are taking Williams over DAT and Ka'Deem Carey. I think someone is a little out there with that claim. Next you are going to be telling me how you will take Hoffman over Marqise Lee.

      DAT: 338 yards, 8.0 ypc.
Ka'Deem Carey last year had 1,929 yards. This year he has 299 yards and averaging 7.0 ypc.
Bishop Sankey last year had 1,439 yards. This year he has 369 yards and averaging 6.2 ypc.

Yeah. I love Williams. He is our guy. I think he is one of the most talented backs BYU has ever had, but you don't watch much college football if you think Williams would be the best back in the Pac 10...er 12.

Williams would be 4th string at Oregon. He might start the year as 3rd string over Tyner, but once Tyner gets the offense down Williams would lose his job. I expect Tyner to be the 2nd back by the end of the year for the Ducks.

By the way, I think Williams is a good back and I'm mad that he picked BYU over Utah. He would be the starting RB for Utah this year, which isn't saying that much. He isn't one of the top backs in the country though.

Due to the quick start to his career, he will probably be all-time leading rusher for BYU, but will likely not play much (if any) in the NFL.

Which of course isn't an insult. A lot of really good college backs never have an NFL career.

I predict it will come down to turnovers, unless it doesn't...in which case, it will come down to whether Hill can complete a decent % of his passes, unless it doesn't...in which case, it will come down to special teams, unless it doesn't...

Question: last year, did it come down to turnovers (clearly too many plus free points for Utah), special teams (we were 3 missed FG attempts in a minute away from OT), a lame QB (he was terrible and obviously playing hurt)?

This year, (unlike other years ), it will come down to whoever scores the most points. It could be anything that leads to a loss, but it will not likely be that our defense didn't do their job. If we are even or -1 on the TO battle, I bet we still win.

You could make the claim that every RB in the PAC would be 4th string at Oregon - with perhaps the exception of Carey.

Are you trying to prove my point? Pretty sure BYU lost the turnover battle last year and also lost the game. I said this year that whoever wins the turnover battle will win the game - just like last year. I stand by that.

Also I agree that whoever scores the most points will win the game. Who will score the most points? The team that wins the turnover battle will score the most points. You're welcome.

Williams just turned 18. I think its hard to know his upside. I'm glad he's on our team.

Here's a more interesting question. How many of our backs would be the #1 back at Utah this year? Clearly Williams but what about Hine, Lasike, and/or Alisa?

Our QB has proven to be a better back than any of the Ute RBs.
