Good find, Commando. I hope he keeps the blog updated throughout the season. Tree is actually quite entertaining. I'm not on Twitter but I remember checking his feed for some reason a year or two ago and he was a hoot.Originally posted by Commando View PostLast edited by Harry Tic; 08-31-2013, 11:49 AM.Nothing lasts, but nothing is lost.

They're both white, can run really fast and are big, strong, QBs. Locker probably has a bigger arm, let's hope Hill is more accurate and consistent. I'll give him credit for sticking with the inevitable white to white comparison, however.Originally posted by woot View PostCompares Taysom to Jake Locker again, which seems accurate but isn't really a positive, I would think.I'm like LeBron James.

I mean they're both white, but I can't think of any black QBs that would make a better comparison. Let's just hope that the accurate aspect of that comparison isn't that Taysom kinda sucks at accuracy and decision-making, since that's, like, mostly what he's supposed to do.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostThey're both white, can run really fast and are big, strong, QBs. Saying he is Riley Nelson with a stronger arm is a better comparison then comparing him to Locker based on last years game tape. I am hoping to see something more this year, but Hill is far from a proven commodity at this point. If he has made the leaps we all hope he has, this could be a great year.Originally posted by woot View PostI mean they're both white, but I can't think of any black QBs that would make a better comparison. Yeah, I just never thought Locker was anything special. I'm still pretty surprised he was drafted so high given his 56% career completion percentage in college.Originally posted by woot View PostCompares Taysom to Jake Locker again, which seems accurate but isn't really a positive, I would think. Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

Yeah he had all the physical tools but could never put it together. The NFL scouts still loved him on potential, but that seemed really misguided. QB potential is all about decision-making, which is very hard to coach and Locker didn't seem to have it. As the NFL incorporates more college concepts it'll become a bit easier to draft good QBs.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostYeah, I just never thought Locker was anything special. Seriously. He's a good writer. So many ex-athletes...well...aren't. He realizes that writing is different than just talking on paper.Originally posted by Cougarmandias View PostOgletree was a great read. Thanks for the tip.
Lamentably, it blew away my resolution not to have sky high expectations this year.At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah
