I don't think this is accurate. Bronco was mercilessly booed in his first season opener.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostSomething has to give both Bronco and UVA head coach Mike London are undefeated in season opening games. Broncos wins have come against 5 bcs teams and northern iowa. Londons against Richmond twice and William&Mary.

I booed from my living room. It (punting) was the wrong call. Booing, however, was the right call.Originally posted by BigPiney View PostAnd I think I booed.

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

Saturday can't come fast enough. I can't wait to see the offense. I can't wait to see the defense. I am so stoked for this season to start. I haven't felt like this since opening the season at Jerry's World."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

Everyone did. Bronco learned a lesson from it although it took him a while. He continues to make occasional gaffes (time outs/not using time outs, going for 2 @ Boise, among but a few) but it was to be expected out of a guy who'd never been in charge before.Originally posted by BigPiney View PostAnd I think I booed."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Going for 2 at Boise was not a gaffe.Originally posted by Blueintheface View PostEveryone did. Bronco learned a lesson from it although it took him a while. It has been discussed ad nauseum so I'll simply say that I don't agree with the decision. Would I have been elated had they succeeded? Of course, but a struggling set of kickers were scarred for life following that game. I hope Sorensen has exorcised those demons.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostGoing for 2 at Boise was not a gaffe.

If you EVER complain about coaches not going for it on 4th more often, then it seems silly to me to question them when they do go for it. I loved the call. Too bad it did not work out that time, but I like the idea of being aggressive.Originally posted by Sizzle View PostYup. I can only imagine the outcry had he gone for one. "Why would you ever go for two in that situation... our kickers suck... blah blah blah."
