It looks like two years of Doman will not be undone by one offseason of Anae.Originally posted by CardiacCoug View PostYep so far this is exactly what we thought we had. Good defense and below average offense. No Hoffman makes this offense as bad at least as last year's I would think.Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. It could be me, but I think we are a bit early here. BYU moved the ball about 80 yards in the first quarter without their best wide receiver, with a qb who is very young and innexperienced and an OL that is still struggling. This offense can go from where they are to above average as the qb accuracy improves. If the OL can improve they will be good.Originally posted by lambdacoug View PostIt looks like two years of Doman will not be undone by one offseason of Anae.Do Your Damnedest In An Ostentatious Manner All The Time!

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.

Hill is 23. That is older than 95% of uva's teamOriginally posted by Goatnapper'96 View PostIt could be me, but I think we are a bit early here. One reality is that Taysom Hill is such a good athlete that good things will happen with the ball in his hands. That first down run right before the quarter/delay demonstrates this. He is innaccurrate. He is young and amped up. However, he has made every read correct. He is too good of an athlete and too hard a worker to not become at least an average D1 passer. I don't know if that will happen this year but when it does BYU's offense will be good. If the OL can improve it will be great. But as things are now as long as he is healthy he can do enough things to make the offense dangerous.Originally posted by Flystripper View PostI agree with this. Fine. Scratch the young part and read it with inexperienced, which is what really matters.Originally posted by Mormon Red Death View PostHill is 23. That is older than 95% of uva's team

And he is very smart (a lot smarter than Riley, in my opinion). Hoffman has a lot of experience catching poorly thrown balls, so I think having him back will improve things immensely. Jamal has been the #1 weapon in this game so far. I hope (and expect that) there is a lot more to this offense than Jamal.Originally posted by Goatnapper'96 View PostOne reality is that Taysom Hill is such a good athlete that good things will happen with the ball in his hands. Completely agree.
