      I didn't say there was.

I undestand Harsin is from Boise, and that exlains it, but this makes no sense at all as a career move. He will never, ever give Boise fans what they have experienced with Petersen. He will never give them enough. [Note to self: Mark this thread for annual swishes.]
If I remember correctly, Harsin's wife was in my ward several years ago. Have you considered that maybe he sees value in the positive influence to his family that being in a strong LDS community brings?

I was only addressing this as a career move.

Texas has won two conference titles in the last 16 years??

Rarely in history has so little been done with so much.

At least their AD knows how to pick good football coaches! He should parlay that into some kind of a better AD gig!

They did have some wins as a Big sky school against some D1 teams though, if my memory serves me correct.

If I have this correct, they did just play for the title. If they are looking for someone to turn the ship around since the embarrassment suffered at the hands of BYU and Ole Miss, I think they are dumb because they have already done it. Or am I missing something?

Texas fans aren't tolerating the dip in performance after a run of a decade under Mack of being in the national title hunt and winning it once. Since Colt McCoy got hurt in the title game I'll admit they haven't looked the same. But running off an adequate coach who looks to be righting the ship in order the chase success from the recent past doesn't always work out well...not that I speak from experience or anything.

Come on. Mac has had a nice long run. Nobody can really argue that Texas hasn't been patient with him.
