I feel bad for him too. Unless he has some miraculous turnaround, it looks like his hopes of playing at the next level are over. The kid has spent a good portion of his life making a potential NFL career his top priority, even giving up a potential BYU degree for a crappy KU one in the desperate hope that Charlie Weis wasn't as crappy a coach as he proved to be at Notre Dame. He better start making new career goals, if he doesn't have a backup plan already.

I can see him getting into coaching, at least on the position level. Heaven knows he was lights out when the bright lights weren't on him.

Not a HC or even an OC. But his whole life has pretty much been camps, drills, 7-on-7s. The kid looks like the star pupil of the Helicopter Parent QB Factory®. I bet he would excel as a QB coach.

I wouldn't. Oregon and FSU are way more deserving. They've played harder schedules in more difficult conferences. I think tOSU would get hammered by any of those three teams.

Or the week before when the beat a decent Maryland team 63-0. Bottom line right now is that Oregon, FSU and Bama are killing everybody and to even try to say which team is better is just silly talk. And Ohio State isn't far behind. It's why even the POS 4 team playoff will be more than welcome.

How does a Division 1 kicker (in the best league in the country, no less) miss a 24 yard field goal?

It looked like the holder didn't rotate the laces out, and when the kicker planted, he hit it square on the laces, which caused the ball to spin instead of going straight.
