Watching two inept BYU offenses in one day is too much to ask of this BYU fan. I'm not sure which game I am more pissed off at. The football game because I stayed up until almost 2 am for that piece of shit or the basketball game because I can't believe a Rose coaches team didn't know what to do with that weak ass zone.

Now all we need is for pelagius and indy coug to give us a statistical breakdown of how Riley isn't the reason we lost, then the kick to the nuts will be complete.
I look forward to the graphs and pie charts explaining his inability to score more than 14 points on that vaunted defense.
TIA

Maybe now we can get rid of Doman... Our offense sucks.Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

I'm still perplexed about that 4th quarter. Four times this offense was in scoring position and only got 7 points on a busted play. Hoffman pulled in an onsides kick... which is extremely rare for anyone. Its like divine intervention couldn't have changed the outcome.

As frustrated as I get with Riley and as much as I hate how he plays I don't blame him. This is 100% on the coaches. Either they got completely played by a mediocre qb for 3 years to the point they are so emotionally invested in him they can't make a change when the need is obvious, or they have so botched management and recruiting of the most important position in sports that thr cupboard is bare and Nelson is our only option.Originally posted by byu71 View PostI have no hard feelings toward Riley. He does the best he can and probably overachieves for the talent he has. He will be a success in life.
Of course he wants to play and obviously willing to play hurt. I guess if as inconsistent as he is, he is the best we have even when injured, then I can't blame the coaches for not putting in the backup.
It is just hard for me to believe we don't have a back up who isn't better or more consistent than Riley tonight. Remember all the teams that have beaten us with their backup?
I don't know which is worse but both are unacceptable.

Rivals or Scouts still has their QB rankings for the kids that graduated high school in 2006. James Lark is one spot behind Josh Freeman and a few spots ahead of Sam Bradford. These rankings don't mean everything, but Lark at least had the physical tools at some point in time. The fact that Lark has never gotten a shot despite Nelson's shitty play which has directly led to at least a couple losses is inexcusable. I don't believe for one second Lark could have been worse than Nelson last night.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View PostAs frustrated as I get with Riley and as much as I hate how he plays I don't blame him. I don't know which is worse but both are unacceptable.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

I listened to the post game until about 1:30, and they basically made the argument that We'd have lost 20-7 instead of 20-13 if Riley wasn't out there giving their all.
Nate Meikle is clearly part of the collective as well, with his fifth grade assessment of "well, the coaches have watched these guys in practice, so clearly they know better."
Clearly, coaches have never been wrong before. Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

It does sound kind of silly. And you know the worst part about it? That was easily the best performance we've seen by a BYU QB against a team with a winning record in three years. Brutal.Originally posted by Viking View PostUtep? Read what you write aloud every once in a while. If it doesn't sound crazy to you, then go see a doctor. So Russell...what do you love about music? He probably asked Lark how awesome it was being a highly touted pocket passer playing for Doman. Who wouldn't want that experience? I am sure he will stick around for what Lark described.Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View PostI hear tanner mangum is sticking around. Yay or nay?Dyslexics are teople poo...

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

I have been saying this for a long time. I always get shouted down with the retort of "why didn't he beat out Nelson?!" Yeah well sometimes coaches are stupid and sometimes they suck at their jobs. Unfortunately BYU has a case of both.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostRivals or Scouts still has their QB rankings for the kids that graduated high school in 2006.
