What other explanations are there for their obstinance? That Lark is worse? If so, why does he still have a scholarship?

I've thought this for some time, but figured the coaches couldn't be that petty...
Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

Lavell turned college football on its head with the passing game. While we never had the most talent, we had a passing game that few could duplicate. That is until the rest of America started slinging the ball like BYU did.

And back to talent, BYU is never going to be the most talented team. They're never going to compete with the Oregons, Bamas and USCs as far as talent goes. But they're talented enough to make a run every few years like Utah and Boise State has. This year should have been our run. But Bronco and company bungled that. And that is why I am furious as a fan.
We are talking two different things here.

BYU does recruit enough talent to field a Top 25 team. Especially if we play the kind of schedules we have in the past. Enough talent to make a run at a BCS game? Again with the schedules we have had, we should have the same chance Utah and BSU did.

Whether Bronco has done a good job lately with the talent he has recruited, I don't think so.

What I have been talking about is the talk of BYU being an elite program more often than once in a while. That would require both a higher level of coaching from Bronco and a different attitude from the BOT.

          • Three days later and I still can't believe we lost to San Jose State. We should never, ever lose to San Jose State.
