Actually it very well might. One or two plays (out of which there are many poor ones to choose) from our qb in each of our losses could have turned them into wins. The one exception could be OSU, but that is arguable.

-4.5 in a game the other team scored zero offensive points and he gave them their only 7 points would like a word with you.

In BYU's losses in 1998, BYU's defense gave up 41 points to Tulane, 38 points to a mediocre Alabama team, 31 to Fresno State, 20 to Air Force, 20 to Washington.

In a win that year they gave up 43 points to San Jose State.

Sorry if I am not going to equate the defenses to each other.

Interesting how you cite 20 point games as bad defensive performances. Besides, Washington scored 2 of 3 TDs on turnover returns.

Congratulations, you've addressed one of the four losses.

Yep, I remember the 1998 defense being very good. I also remember them being gassed by the end of most games because, due to the offensive woes, they were on the field so much.

Yeah, if he only would have made those two FGs and that extra point.

I'd blame Notre Dame on Riley as well.

You hold the Irish to 17 at their place, yor offense should be able to win that.

I was just citing all the losses.

The 1998 defense was not handing wins on a silver platter if the offense showed up even somewhat like our D has in every game this year except Oregon State.

I don't think you've gotten the memo, scoring 14 pts against Notre Dame with 7 pts on a 28 yard short field and the other drive had a grand total of 3 yards passing for a total of ~15 yards passing on the two td drives is a heroic effort for a QB. Can't blame em.

I lived just down the street from Spartan Stadium my whole mission. It's hard to describe the atmosphere on game day, but if I had to I would call it "occasionally noticeable".

Or if he played any decent football the first three quarters. I didn't know anyone was still pretending riley played well at Utah. It was pretty obvious he shouldn't have been playing at all.

My DirecTV guide is saying Cincy vs. Temple on ESPN2 at 8:30 Saturday but that should be BYU-SJSU, right?

I'm working so there is a good chance I will have to watch this one delayed. If I turn on the DVR Sunday AM and get Cincy-Temple I'm gonna be pissed.
