    The awesome fact that both our teams suck should make this pointless discussion even more irrelevant but by all means, continue arguing these important and valuable concepts involving other programs.

      I guess we can't all be like the Big 12, which based the rep of its ranked teams on stellar victories like:

      Wyoming
      New Mexico
      @Ole Miss
      Missouri St
      Miami
      North Texas
      @UTEP
      Florida A&M
      Savannah State
      Louisiana Lafayette
      Northwestern State
      @Texas State
      New Mexico
      Marshall
      James Madison
      Maryland

      You are right, the Pac-12 totally has proven they are inferior in every way to the Big 12 by building their rep by beating B1G teams. The Pac-12 really should have gone out and got some quality wins like the Big 12.

          FACT CHECK FAIL

          Ranked PAC-12 teams (Oregon, Oregon St., Stanford, USC, Arizona, UCLA) have a gand total of two victories over Big Ten competition. (Oregon St. over Wisconsin; UCLA over Nebraska).

          The OOC wins for ranked PAC-12 teams are the following:
          Arkansas St.
          Fresno St.
          Tennessee Tech
          BYU
          Wisconsin
          San Jose St.
          Duke
          Hawaii
          Syracuse
          Toledo
          Oklahoma St.
          South Carolina St.
          Rice
          Nebraska
          Houston

          It appears to me that those PAC-12 OOC victories are just as stellar as the Big 12 OOC victories.

            I'm not arguing the Pac-12 has stellar OOC victories. I was simply responding to the claims that the Big 12 is so much better because the Pac-12 doesn't have quality OOC victories. Plain fact is that every major conference has a bad resume of OOC victories. None of the major conferences play tough out of conference schedules.

              I think the good funk was poking at maximus who said that the Pac got a good rep off of beating lousy B1G teams, not actually making that claim.

              There is a lot of football left. I'm not worried about who is ranked #1 or 2 now, it matters on December 2nd. I had a little fun with The_Dougie since he said bowl teams are all that matter to prove K State's superiority, but as I said in this thread if I were voting I would vote K State 2 this week.

                All this arguing about which conference sucks more, or who beat who, is causing y'all to miss the bigger revelation of week 9....how much better BARN is than Landry Jones. Good thing BYU has Riley, and doesn't have a chucker, like Jones.

                  That wasn't really my argument. My main point is that I think the Big 12 is a tougher place to go undefeated.

                  I think debates like this are what makes college football fun.

                  I hope ND, Bama, Oregon, and KState all go undefeated. There will be much gnashing of teeth if teams get left out and we will probably get 2 pretty good games between undefeated teams. Or maybe not. We'll get a very exciting game between Oregon and 3 loss Nebraska in the Rose and KSU in the Fiesta against the Big East champion or something retarded.

                  I would love if ND went undefeated and got left out. Someone huge has to get left out for this to be more than a 4 team playoff. ND fits the bill.

                              Hey, don't encourage Babs. She is insufferable enough already what with that three-year winning streak and all.

                                On the contrary. Those who were around me at the BYU-Oklahoma game can vouch that I've been criticizing Landry since the very first time I saw him play. I spent the last two years insisting that it was only his receiving corps that made him look like Heisman material. He's not a bad QB -- most schools would be thrilled to have him -- but he pales in comparison to the Sooners that preceded him.
