Yeah, why don't you go ahead and go to Baton Rouge and say that?

It is quite ridiculous. My son and I quite like it.

But they have the coolest mascot. A real live tiger in the middle of campus!

Roosters fight in the wild. It's not a domesticated behavior. And, that's the reference in these parts.

I'm not sure if I shared this or not before. A few years ago I sent a young man who liked to push boundaries, returned from a Myrtle Beach vacation with a new shirt. He showed up to mutual, and tried to profess to me he was a big USC fan, and didn't know there was anything wrong with the shirt. I still made him go home and change. Though I respected his attempt, I thought it a little much to wear around the church, where no one (including him) knew anything about the Univ of South Carolina.

On the bright side he will have a tale to tell about the unrighteous dominion of priesthood leaders, when he joins a message board (he might be on ufn. He went to Utah undergrad, and was in med school there, last I heard).

              This was his shirt.

Look, if the kid wanted to wear a shirt endorsing "cocks" as a funny gesture, you should have just let him do it. Joke, if there is one, is on him, right?

You were way too uptight. The shirt says univ of south carolina.

Would you send home a kid for wearing a shirt that says "Trojans" or "Beavers"?

Sent home from mutual is probably what he wanted anyway.

I would have sent him home.

I have zero regrets on that one. This was a kid specifically looking to be noticed, for what he could get away with. This wasn't his first kick against the pricks He lived 2 minutes from the church, so it wasn't like he was be banished for the night.

In answer to Solon, if the shirt contained some kind of sexual innuendo (I realize he Cocks shirt didn't) in addition to the PAC12 mascot, yes I would have had this particular kid home.
