Go ahead, distrust us, question our motives. We will continue to approach this game in the spirit of brotherly love.Originally posted by San Juan Sun View PostI, for one, am not buying the diminished expectations game many Ute fans here are playing. I don't care about your injuries, suspensions, hemorrhoids, or questionable coaching hires.
You are freaking Utah, and this is rivalry week! When has Whit not had his team ready for this game? No QB? Most of you guys weren't crazy about Wynn in the first place. And besides, when your QB goes down you have Brett Ratliffs step in.
Don't you guys remember 54-10? Of course you do, but you're trying to get our hopes up with your artificially low expectations. On the field warfare is one thing, but psychological warfare on message boards is really low. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

9:00pm start time for the game??? What the heck is going on with these late games? You can't even BBQ for these things since I'll have eaten dinner 3 hours before kickoff. How lame.
I say we move the game to 1pm and broadcast it worldwide on BYUtv."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. Won't be at the game. I'll be looking for a sports bar in Chicago. Then I can join in with the rest who are whining about how late of a start there is.
In hearing about the possible injury and suspensions Utah faces, I only had two hopes. First, that Wynn would be ready to go this Saturday. Apparently that one ain't going to happen.
My second hope is that Utah's #79 on the OL is good to go.
At one point towards the end of the game the announcers mentioned that there was a flag in Utah's backfield on offense. I told my wife it was a hold on #79. She was amazed at my ability to make the call. But in all reality, it seemed like if there was a hold or a false start, chances were pretty good it was #79 and I liked my chances at appearing to be prophetic. I hope #79 lines up against Van Noy quite often Saturday.

Speaking of BYUtv - did anyone else notice that they little graphic with the score, clock, etc was miniscule? I don't have a huge TV, so maybe that was the problem. But I couldn't read anything beyond the score and sometimes the time remaining. Down and distance, quarter, play clock, etc. were all just a tiny blur. I hope they figure something out to fix this.Originally posted by Moliere View Post...I say we move the game to 1pm and broadcast it worldwide on BYUtv.

You missed quite a bit. Like the 2nd and 67. Or the ball on the 56 yard line, among others. It was more entertaining to watch that than the game.Originally posted by Eddie View PostSpeaking of BYUtv - did anyone else notice that they little graphic with the score, clock, etc was miniscule? #79. That would be Percy Taumoelau. I don't know if there's a stat for penalty yards per player or sacks/hits on the QB allowed by an offensive tackle, but Percy's total in both categories must have been pretty impressive. Wynn was sacked three times in the first half and was hit hard eight times. I'm guessing those facts will be noticed as KW and co. review the game film.Originally posted by Eddie View PostWon't be at the game. I'll be looking for a sports bar in Chicago. The football gods are not deceived by your frantic humility. They see that you still harbor a secret flicker of hope.
