And I will say there is definitely a psychological component to this game. I don't know what is going on but there is no way that Utah can win this series so much without some sort of psychological advantages. This many fumbles, turnovers, false starts, etc... something is going on.

I think Hoffman was slipping behind the DBS when Riley threw that floater thatnhit the turf with 1 second to go.

This team has plateaued under Bronco. They cannot go any farther until he is replaced as a head coach.

This has been a rough day all around, but I'm not hit too hard by it since it was entertaining football. Good game Utes, I'll be at RE stadium for when USC comes to town.

It was an excellent play. He came across the formation as if he was setting up to block off the right side. The only negative was the free release. Sure, getting get beat deep isn't great but is excusable in a double TE formation IMO.

It's easy to pile on Utah fans because the penalty was, in effect, called on those who rushed the field. But Utah blew it by not covering a live ball that could be advanced. If Utah recovers the blocked kick, I'm fairly certain there wouldn't have been a second BYU FG attempt -- Utah would have merely been penalized 15 yards from the spot where it recovered the ball. And since the clock would have read 0:00 and there can be no untimed down based on a penalty by the "offense", the game would have been over right there.

I would like Wrubbell to ask Bronco why he feels Utah has become dominant over us. Not to make him feel bad, but I would like to know what he thinks.

Agreed. I wonder if he can put together a solid root cause analysis.

No one is going to replace a coach that routinely goes 10-2. Especially when there's not guarantee the replacement can keep up that kind of record.

The best case scenario, which will never happen, is that Bronco volunteers to demote himself to DC and we bring in someone who can prepare our players mentally for big games.

This program has been about as good as Bronco has it since the mid 80's. The thing missing is one year with talent like this where BYU doesn't shoot itself in the foot. But they are what they are. 2 things I don't think BYU is leveraging under Bronco is poise and OL play. Those should be two core strengths at BYU although coming back showed some poise.
They're not as good as the 80's teams, and that's why.

I'll preface by saying Riley has passes the part where heart and effort are enough, everyone realizes that if not for an awful snap that was in no way Riley's fault BYU wins that game right?

Also BYU's offensive line sucks and has for a few years, I'm not sure how that fits into the narrative of Bronco/Riley, but it is as big or bigger of problem than both.

I laughed out loud when the ball hit the uprights. I can't even feel bad about the outcome of the game. Another entry for the Rivalry Lore.
