Difference is, some of us have actually watched him for a full practice
"The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."
"They talk about the economy this year. Hey, my hairline is in recession, my waistline is in inflation. Altogether, I'm in a depression."
"I like to bike. I could beat Lance Armstrong, only because he couldn't pass me if he was behind me."
And that is the online equivalent of a pin. I submit.
It its nice knowing that you hold the ultimate trump card .
Honestly, as an occupational byproduct, i generally watch the injured guys too see exactly how their injuries affect them. A guy can say he feels great, but walking from drill to drill our even back to the huddle is the ultimate lie detector.

"Hot Lunch posted awhile back on this. He knows more than anyone except for maybe BO."-Seattle Ute
I'm excited for this game for the sole reason that it is the first game of the season and it offers the opportunity to go to RES to witness the Utes play football.
Beyond that, this game is not exciting and really won't tell us much.
Our offense and defense practice against better competition every day in practice. Our 1s and 2s are all better athletes and if we put a team out there consisting of nobody more than our 2s, we should win this game by a large margin.
This game is a glorfied scrimmage.
My sole interest is in seeing the start of football and hoping that nobody gets hurt.
What questions will a game against Northern Colorado answer? I think we'll have to wait until the USU game to form any conclusions.
Who will be the vendors at RES? What new food offerings will be available throughout the season? Will our "seat neighbors" be the same or will there be new ones? Has anyone made an attempt to improve the "production" of game day or is there still a monkey with an iPod and a volume dial manning the PA system?
These games are pointless and there's no reason for a D1 school to play these teams.
Aren't most of the Directional Michigan Schools DI/FBS teams?
While fans think these games suck, there is a reason they are played or they wouldn't be played, right?
Practice. A chance to tune things up on the big stage before hitting the meat of the schedule. Money. A nearly sure win leaving only 5 more wins to get to a bowl game=money=more practice.

"God made the angels to show His splendour - as He made animals for innocence and plants for their simplicity. But men and women He made to serve Him wittily, in the tangle of their minds."
