Playing with ourselves: Cougars v Cougars...Season opener!
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

Gameday snuck up on me. This is like waking up on a normal winter day and finding out that it's Christmas. (If you were up all night working Christmas Eve, and you're stuck in the office all of Christmas Day. And you don't get any presents.)
I have the lowest expectations for BYU football this year since 2005. Admittedly, I tend to buy into the hype as the season approaches. I have a feeling that my low expectations will be pleasantly surpassed this year, with a senior QB, good offensive skill players, a deep DL, good LBs, athletic DBs, and an OC that should have some idea of what he's doing this year. Yep, my low expectations are.... completely gone!
13-0 baby! Let's get it on!
"Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. They were all against me. Tried every dirty trick to cut me down, but I beat the bastards and left them in the ditch."

This year is going to be a bit funky for many. I think many of those with lower expectations and jilted lover syndrome are going to get over it tonight, only to never really pay attention to the mistakes Wazzu is going to make on offense and how bad their defense is going to be this year. After tonight many will buy into the newfound hype that will start after this game. Then when BYU loses a game all the anger will come crashing down on Mendenhall 10 fold!
For me it is not that likely to be that fun to watch. But it will happen, mark my words many of those who have been feigning some faux emotional guard about "the hype" will be born again in a new baptism of Cougar love by 11:00 mountain time tonight only to have their dreams dashed in SLC, Boise, South Bend or Atlanta. Too many of the fanbase struggles to find any middle ground.
It will suck for all of us.

I'm choosing to mostly ignore your fatuity here and instead overwhelm you with so much data that you'll maybe, just maybe, realize that you have reams to read on this subject before you can contribute meaningfully to any conversation on this topic.
