Afternoon kickoff @ 2:30 Central Time. If there is a lot of passing, maybe you could get to the stadium in time for Wrubell's post game show

Ah, crap. I haven't even looked at the forecast. First day game in forever meant I was going to take my 5 year old to his first game. He would NOT do well in the rain.Originally posted by bluegoose View PostNot a road trip for many of you, but me and my brood are tripping to Provo this weekend to see the girl and to watch the game. Can't wait, even though it could be cold and wet at LES.

He said DFW by 6:15. That's still 2 1/2 hours from Waco. Longer if the traffic is bad getting out of Dallas.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View Post

Stoked to be at the game against Baylor. No idea how it will go, but I hope it's a good game.
I'll probably head to the USC game, pending spousal approval.Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.

I can't make Baylor as I'm in a military course. I really don't have time for much else over the next month.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostStoked to be at the game against Baylor. No idea how it will go, but I hope it's a good game.

I'm looking really hard at that USC game as I've never made it there yet. I think we could spend Thanksgiving in Disneyland again to make a fun relaxing trip.

I watched the highlights of Baylor's game against West Virginia. They had an explosive vertical offense and sacked the quarterback repeatedly.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostStoked to be at the game against Baylor. No idea how it will go, but I hope it's a good game.

I will be in Waco with my wife, her parents, her two sisters, and one of their husbands. Only half of us will be attending the game. The others will be chillin' at the silos.

I’ll be in Waco! Gonna hit Chip and Joannas spot and then the game."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Looks like the entire Donuthole clan will be in attendance at USC.

Enjoy! I took in the coliseum this year for the Utah game and nothing has changed: the stadium is impressively decrepit, the fans are some of the least pleasant/knowledgeable you'll find, and the weather is great!Originally posted by Donuthole View PostLooks like the entire Donuthole clan will be in attendance at USC.

After the fact, but I'll note Saturday was a very fine day for BYU sports fans and that I had an excellent roadie. Although the first half was suboptimal, overall it was a fun game day experience, shared with ParrotHead and Clark Addison on the Georgia Southern side of the field. To cap off a day which also saw BYU have two first place CC NCAA winners, its women's soccer team advance to the Elite 8, its women's basketball team crush Boise State, the men's BB team taking care of business, and its Men's soccer club team win a national championship (and I'm probably forgetting something), it was surreal to see Tom Holmoe, the master of the feast, standing by himself having just got off a call. I'd spoken to him multiple times before but it was fun to congratulate him and thank him for his stellar performance during the pandemic. He brushed off my effusive praise, and just said, "yeah, it's been a lot of fun." Looking forward to more.
