Cool. Sadly Wyo did you no favors on Saturday evening.

Heading out for Erie, Co tomorrow. I'll be at the game with my daughter, SiL, and grandson.

    And yes, let's meet up.
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

WYO did not help, but prices actually dropped anyway. These same tickets were about $50 more each last week. I'll take what I can get.

My son and I are currently flying to Dallas. We'll be in the Dallas area until we leave Monday. Other than the game on Saturday, any other ideas for things to do/see?

I just spent a couple off days in Dallas for work. My boss and a few peers are based there.

They took us to Grapevine to see Christmas Capital of Texas. It was a huge disappointment.

You can easily waste a day trying to navigate DFW. What a cluster that place is.

So no, I don’t have any ideas to contribute.

I can’t remember if my daughter did a rotation in Dallas or Houston. Anyways, I visited her in some sprawling Texan city. I went to the aquarium and arboretum. They were all nice. If you go to any one of those and they aren’t that great, maybe it was Houston I went to.

Houston does have a cool aquarium no idea if Dallas has one or not.

Thanks to all who have thus far contributed to opening my eyes to the wonders of the Dallas Metroplex. This will be a truly culturally enriching visit.

OK I have figured it out. I went to Dallas!

Pelado, go to the aquarium. Your son will like it. Also do the arboretum, more for you. I'd probably pass on the reunion tower, but it was kind of cool to see the skyline at night.

I also went to the Dallas Museum of Art. Not bad.

I went to Dallas once for a deposition. It was rainy, and I was riding in an Uber on the freeway on the way to my 10am depo, when my driver pulled over and said I needed to get out of the car? "What?" was my reply. Apparently his app was not connecting correctly and wasn't showing that I was in the car and that he was in the process of conducting a paid ride. He wanted me to get out, walk 100 feet from the car, and then request an uber and hope that he would be selected to pick me up.

I told him no effing way, and to take me to my destination and, if need be, I would pay him in cash (this was just before Venmo really took off, i'm guessing, because that would have been an easy solution). He was not liking that idea very much, but I was not liking even more the idea of getting out of a car with my carry on and backpack on the side of the freeway. So I clicked into sweet talk mode, and told him if the app didn't work I would make it worth his while when we got to the depo. I was fully planning on paying him like $100 if need be, just to make this not become a big deal to him. About a minute later, the app refreshed and showed me in his car and the ride in progress and all was well. But that's my lasting memory of Dallas, as that interaction was more memorable than anything else I encountered there.

Dallas is a nice place to live, but you wouldn’t want to visit there.

I've only been to Dallas a few times on business and only once had any free time, so I visited Dealley Plaza. I don't know if that is a comment on how boring Dallas is or how boring I am.

Your adult son? I’ve got nothing. Maybe try to book a last minute hog hunt. That would be fun.

I was not familiar with the name Dealey Plaza but now that I know what's there, it's near the top of the list for other things to do in Dallas. Thanks!
