"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

WHAT?!? I need to see this post. I don't remember if I gave up reading niku posts before the name change or not, but he was still (kinda) in the church at he time. Seems like he even had a big stake calling, at one time.

So my game assignment on the Saturday of the Utah game is in Brooklyn about 30 min from jfk. There is a flight to SLC scheduled for 4. I am confident I can make that flight comfortably as long as my game starts on time and doesn't go into 5 overtimes. So I plopped down some miles today. The problem is it is scheduled to land at 7:19. Kickoff is 8:15. I think I could get to the gate as early as 7 if there is good weather, but any kind of delay would screw me. If I go through with this I'll uber straight to LES.

am I nuts to consider this? This is the first time in my life I wish we were playing in RES.

Alternate suggestions? A rental car would obviously waste time retrieving the car and parking/walking to the stadium

Helicopter would probably be the fastest.

Will you be wearing your ref uniform? Maybe you could go help on the field.

                              It says Salt Lake Central.

Do you know where that is? It doesn't sound like the airport.

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.
