Oh come on I gave a pretty decent answer to that question when you asked it yesterday.

        Hawaii (Maybe)
Oregon State (Maybe, but probably not)
        @Notre Dame

All the games on the road are most likely losses. With the way our O-Line has performed and our inability to get a decent pass rush, I just don't see it happening. I do like our chances for the rest of the games.
We'll wipe out Hawai'i and Oregon St. at home. Seems a lot of people are penciling in Wazzu as a win as well, but I think they'll be tougher than either of the two I just mentioned.

I think another benefit for us is that a lot of these teams aren't going to be what we think they are. Boise St. by reputation looks tough, but they lose one of the best QB's in the country, their top 2 leading rushers, and their top receiver. That's a lot to overcome. Georgia Tech sure looked good early on, but their finish wasn't very impressive. And Notre Dame is just Notre Dame -- you can pretty much expect them to fall on their faces.

As down as I am on Riley as QB, a lot of these games don't look insurmountable right now.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Kragthrope projects us with 8 wins next year, basically forecasting losses in the four big road games. As much as what we saw out of Riley yesterday has me majorly concerned about the QB position, I think we can get two of those four. I just think BSU is going through too much turnover for us not to beat them with the experience we have, especially since this game is relatively early in the season (fourth week, no?). And then I think we get one of the GA Tech/Utah/Notre Dame trio. That gives us 10 regular season.

ND might be a bit of a mess next year. They'll still have way more talent than BYU, but I could see them really struggling. Not sure what that means for the BYU game, but I doubt it's a blowout, at least.

What I am looking forward to next year is the defense. We'll miss some guys like JP (but we missed him all the time anyway), but we get better by the graduations of Uale and Eason. Replacing Fandango will be difficult, I think he performed better than any of us expected. But I think it could be our best defense in awhile. I expect KVN to wreak havoc all over the field.

I am feeling better about next year (2013 is still a huge question mark, but I'll fret over that midway through next season after our first loss and the Poinsettia Bowl is in sight). I'd feel much better knowing Lark could be adequate when Riley gets hurt and if we had a back that could grind things out so we wouldn't have to throw. Our defense should keep us in every game. I am just hoping the offense manages the ball and clock.

I'm likely in the 9-3 camp for next season. I think the OL sees improvement as I believe we get a new OL coach in the off season. I'll be interested in what happens in the next couple of weeks.

I think WSU is a win, if nothing else because we get them early. I think it will take WSU a few games to click with the new offense. Also, Bronco has been good in opening games, especially at home.

I'm not sure what to make of the Boise game. Not only do they lose Moore, and you don't just replace one of the best college QBs of all time, but they are losing 25 seniors, 17 of which started. I think Boise takes a step back next season, just a question of how big it will be. OTOH, Boise has excellent coaching. It should make for an interesting game.

My other concern about BYU is that I worry that Riley can't play a full year without a serious injury. Which begs the question, will a quarterback step up to become a solid back up? I suspect the backup QB will effect the final win loss record next season.

Has Bronco given any suggestions/indications about changes or additions in the coaching staff or coaching philosophy? He made quite a few changes last year so I doubt he does but even he has to acknowledge that the O-line severely underperformed this year. I know I’m not the only one who would like to see an addition of a QB coach and a different strength and conditioning coach. Something has to be done with the O-line. They didn’t improve at all as the year went on. If a change was to take place isn’t this the time it would happen?

I never bought the "o-line sucked" motto so maybe Bronco didn't buy it either.

Why not? Did you not watch/see the O line get destroyed over and over?

Lots of o-line "sucks" posts after Riley had two bad games against TCU and Tulsa where he held on to the ball for insanely long amounts of time. All the OL's fault though!

The OL did not get destroyed over and over. Ignorant hyperbole at its worst. With this OL, Harvey Unga would have run for over 1,500 yards this year.
