Where's the update on BYU's 4th string linebackers, Gman?! They matter, dammit!I'm like LeBron James.

The truck that just passed James Lark was the Taysom Hill express I hope.Backup QB James Lark had an off day, going 0-for-2 in the scrimmage. He was intercepted by Mike Hague, and his other throw should have picked off by DeQuan Everett, but it was dropped.
Taysom Hill was 3-for-4 for 68 yards and a touchdown pass of 35 yards to Brett Thompson. He also had a 7-yard run."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

Yeah, especially if they aren't going to redshirt Hill. I wonder if we will see any formations with Nelson, Hill and Kuresa.Originally posted by Blueintheface View Posthttp://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/blogsby...ankle.html.csp

Would you bet $1,000 that BYU will win at least 9 games? This guy next to me is a big time gambler and just said BYU will lose 4 + games. I feel like I would be stealing $1,000.( FYI I most likely wrote that incoherently and will be properly corrected forthwith. Thanks)

Depends on if he means regular season only or including the bowl game. But if it's regular season then you're not stealing, probably an even money proposition.Originally posted by Y84it View PostWould you bet $1,000 that BYU will win at least 9 games? If you feel so strongly about it, just make a bet at a sportsbook. That way you're sure you will get paid if you win.

Probably not a good idea to make a private $1000 bet with a "big time gambler." I'm gonna say bad idea even though if it includes bowl game it's not a bad bet from a football perspective.Originally posted by Y84it View PostI am asking if you guys would make that bet? I already did. I think there is no way BYU loses more than 4 games. Was it a good bet?

I don't see BYU in any scenario losing more than three games. With that said I am not really betting $1,000 we are betting lunch. Just seeing if the BYU faithful is confident enough to bet $1,000. Lunch wouldn't show me how much confidence this board has in the cougs.Originally posted by CardiacCoug View PostProbably not a good idea to make a private $1000 bet with a "big time gambler." you aren't thinking hard enough if you can see a scenario losing more than 3 games.

We will lose between 2 and 4 games.
I don't see any game on the schedule that is a "scary" game, but Bronco doesn't really beat teams he's not favored against. Having every difficult game on the road makes it an even worse proposition.
I don't think we'll lose any home games, but I don't think losing four is out of the question. If I had to guess I'd go with 3. 1-3 on the road against 4 teams that generally finish around the top 30 in the nation seems about right. Will donate kidney for B12 membership.
