Yeah, you're probably right, I don't see the new MWC additions (Fresno State, Hawaii, Nevada) really proving a challenge.
Actually, I forgot about Nevada joining. I suppose that if they get good QB play, they could beat Boise.

Not so hard. Essentially he becomes a JC receiver but with the added benefit of one year in a system to learn.

If he thinks he's not going to be utilized well, he'd be wise, perhaps, to swallow the year of lost eligibility and transfer to a school that has a hot young QB. Like Washington State, for instance.

Or, he could drop a division and play 3 years at a school like Montana.
What makes you think he's not being utilized well at BYU? He just broke the freshman TD record.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

It doesn't matter what I think. Like I said, "If HE thinks..."

Oops, I misread that. Regardless, tough for him to say he's not being utilized well. He was a big part of the offense this year as a freshman.

Man, I am so bummed about next season and we haven't even played our bowl game this year.

Next season we're unranked and going to the San Diego Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl against the MWC's #2 team! Woohoo!

              7-5 Welcome to mediocrity
What a bunch of Debbie Downers. 7-5 is worst case scenario. Boise and Utah will be toss ups. Wash State a likely win. GT and ND are the only probable, but not certain, losses. Worst case = 7-5. Best case = 10-2.

You guys forget that as terrible as Riley and the TOs were vs. TCU, we were in that game. And they are a legit top 16 team. G Tech beat absolutely nobody this year (kinda like us). And I was at that Utah-Colorado game.

You can take your mediocrity and stuff it!

Not an exciting team to play on paper I know, but I think it could be an interesting game on the road, and Tate Forcier transferred to SJSU. Maybe I'm being too high on a shit sandwhich WAC team that benefitted from a crappy conference and hyping it up for no reason? Probably.

If I had confidence in Bronco, I'd look at that schedule and think we could make some noise. We could be 8-0 going into ND with a fun to watch, tough as nails QB and a lot of national TV exposure...we could easily be #8-10 in the country.

If I could short sell the naysayers here, I'd do it all day long.

                  GT: winnable
                  Weber: win
                  Utah: winnable
                  BSU: winnable (new QB)
                  UH: win
WSU: tough to know with the man who could have been our coach at the helm...winnable, though
                  USU: win
                  OSU: win
ND: tough game. let's say home field advantage rules
                  NMSU: win
                  SJSU: win
                  Idaho: win

Holt and Wilson were having nice seasons before injuries. Mahina is back.

Brett Thompson is back from his mission as well. We should be very good the question is can Riley be good enough to get the ball in to the hands of our playmakers?
Welcome to grind it out football and hoping to win 17-10.

Under what situation would the BOT approve a Head Coach who has been an inactive church member for more than two decades?

On the other hand, it would have been very enlightening to see Cougar fans embrace Pirates.

Oops, sorry. Snide remarks don't always translate on screen, without the wry grin.

Still, he would likely have been a fantastic hire. Bring back the passing game of yesteryear and multiply it by 1000x.

Good luck retooling 2012, because that 2013 schedule looks like murderers' row.
