Lowest-rated championship game in BCS history.
Viewership just half of what it was two years ago.

And lowest ratings for the Rose Bowl ever. EVER.

This is what I was alluding to when I was talking about the bowls last week. If the execs are looking to a plus-one to save the bowls, then they are completely clueless about what's sucked all the life out of them.

I imagine a lot of people in Louisiana and Alabama watched it.

What did you take? I hear all the time how big BYU's fan base is. How everyone wants to watch BYU.

I never see numbers to prove it. We usually suck with TV bowl ratings. It is what it is.

Hey, we still got a deal with ESPN, but I don't understand. I must me missing something.

            That is true.

I dunno.. every time BYU has bad ratings there are always excuses. They seem legit, of course, but every time?

I also expected to see a dramatic increase in attendance in away games in the WCC. Not even close. People don't care as much as we want them to.

Of course, I am a pessimist, in case some people haven't figured that out yet.

BYU had the worst time slot of the entire bowl season. Noon Eastern on a Friday that was a work day for most people. The bowl had no prestige either, but I'm willing to wager the ratings would've stunk even if the Armed Forces Bowl was respected.

8% increase seems pretty good considering the the timeslot didn't change.
