A thread about PAC 12 coaches is not dumb. An example of a dumb thread is one that asks Utefans if they'd rather be playing BYU in November than playing a PAC 12 schedule. The problem here is not that the subject matter is inherently dumb.

I'm sorry, I thought this was a thread about PAC 12 coaches? However this apparently isn't about that despite the title, it's about gathering around a campfire and singing about how great Whit is because he's .500 in conference play.

SeatleUte said he would "fistfight" anyone that disagreed with his assessment that Whit has faced the most adversity in the conference this year. Since my reply, which has been ignored, this thread has only been about Whit and how great Utah is because they are in a BCS conference.

Yes, it is a dumb thread. I'm more than willing to discuss the coaches in the conference though.

Yeah this is kind of funny.

Lane has been dealing with bowl bans, scholarship reductions, negative media outlets, biased polls, players transferring, etc. I'd argue that he has faced more adversity than whit lately.

It is hard to do that since SC never had a moment in which it stopped playing good conference opponents and started exclusively playing the worst ones.

It depends by what standard. By WAC and MWC standards, there are no bad teams except maybe Colorado. Every week anyone could lose to anyone. ASU drubbed USC, but lost to Arizona. This is why it's such a CF. Arizona is a dangerous team, has a lot of weapons, that's a proven fact.

So everything that Kiffin has had to deal with at USC is a walk in the park compared to...uh...wait...what exactly is some opposition that Whit has faced that wasn't outside his power to control? I don't think this is even an argument (which is probably why SeattleUte is avoiding it).

By the way, since when has Whit rescued the Ute's season? IS .500 really any good when you consider who they have beat? The only reason they are even teased about sniffing the conference champ game is for two reasons:

1) other teams are losing
2) USC is ineligible
