    • Great night as a Boise State BCS bandwagoner, still have an outside shot of getting an at-large bid. Cal playing Stanford tough.

Also, good possibility that 5 SEC teams are going to be in the Top 10 of the BCS. LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, South Carolina, Georgia.

How about the argument that a team that doesn't even play for it's conference title being chosen to play for the fake national title?

What if the two best teams really are in the same division?

I've made the same argument (earlier today in fact) but what are the other options? Working within the parameters of the BCS there aren't any.

I preferred Oregon over Alabama, but there isn't any more options really. Unless people want to put Stanford or Oklahoma State over them.

I agree that there aren't any other options. I'm just trying to point out how messed up and idiotic the BCS really is. I take any and every opportunity to bash the corrupt entity that has ruined college football.

                • An Arkansas win over LSU could spell disaster to the BCS system.

That may very well be, but I believe it's illogical to make the claim that a team that not only doesn't win its conference title, but doesn't even play for its conference title is good enough to play for a national title.

The BCS is a sham and should be treated as such.

How? It would be Bama in the SECCG and Arky at #2, assured a spot in the title game.

                      Not a disaster at all.

It would be a disaster to LSU and Oklahoma State (if they beat OU) who think they still would deserve a chance over Arkansas. It's already a joke of a system and a disaster that could be mostly cured by an 8 team BCS bowl site playoff.

You can't tell me it wouldn't be a disaster to the whole system of "every game being a playoff".

It'd be pretty funny if Bama lost to Georgia in the SEC championship and Arkansas ends up going to the MNC against a non-SEC team. That could be called a disaster.

                          • AZ scores a TD, Arizona only down 24-27 now! Come on Wildcats!

                            • I love it. All of the SEC haters in the nation will wake to see the Top 3 in the nation all in one division of The SEC. It's a conspiracy I tell ya. Yeah, the SEC isn't thebest conference in the country.

Who's hating exactly? People would have just preferred to see Oregon over Alabama and Arkansas before tonight.
