After watching OU/Baylor. I think it's evident that if you're in the race for a BCS game or BCS Title game, you don't want Joe Tessitore calling your game.
It would be a disaster to LSU and Oklahoma State (if they beat OU) who think they still would deserve a chance over Arkansas. It's already a joke of a system and a disaster that could be mostly cured by an 8 team BCS bowl site playoff.
You can't tell me it wouldn't be a disaster to the whole system of "every game being a playoff".
The BCS survived 2007. It will survive any "disaster" that 2011 creates. And no, I don't think any of the scenarios you present constitute a "disaster".

Sure it "survived", but there was an uproar in 2007 about it after the Michigan/Ohio State game. I don't believe the BCS is going to die after this season either, but the argument for a playoff increases.
I love it. All of the SEC haters in the nation will wake to see the Top 3 in the nation all in one division of The SEC. It's a conspiracy I tell ya. Yeah, the SEC isn't thebest conference in the country.
I don't most of the SEC haters deny that they're the best conference in the country. For me, I hate them because they had better be the best conference in the country given how they badly they cheat. I therefore find satisfaction when they lose.
Furthermore, the nature of college football is such that the bowl games are often our only chance to see the best teams from different conferences play each other, so it's disappointing when that doesn't happen.

Who's cheated? The Auburn incident was over and it was clean.
Well, he may come back and say he wasn't but based on some other takes he has, it really isn't worth the time. Sorry 88, i know, I am just picking on you.
