Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I don't know that I'd read that he's saying he was "blameless" in all of this. I think he states that the villain in this case is much larger than JoePa...it was the investigation, which JoePa was clearly a part of. I think his point is simply that to make Joe the single fall guy for this and the single point at which this whole thing fell apart is not necessary and a bit misguided, especially when the evidence suggests that several people throughout the process dropped the ball (to put it mildly).Originally posted by SeattleUte View Post
Then again, what else would you expect at a JoePa memorial service?"They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.

Sara Ganim, 24, wins Pulitzer for coverage of Penn State sex abuse scandal
Pretty impressive for such a young reporter. She started covering the story when she was 22. Her comments also give some interesting insights into how new media and new technologies have changed news reporting.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

What's even more amazing is that Seattle's free weekly The Stranger won a Pulitzer. Now in addition to being Dan Savage's home base it has that going for it. The Seattle Times also won a pulitzer.
And they declined to award a fiction prize for the first time in 35 years.

Sanduskys attorney seems to be not smart,
Really, no victims?"This is a daunting case," he told the jurors in his opening statement Monday. "You saw pictures of the victims, but there are no victims in this case until you come to a verdict."

Sandusky's son has now come forward and said his dad molested him too. He was a foster child in Sandusky's home and they later adoped him.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”
