    Kariya tripped on a lineman.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I would give him a solid C. I'm not sure what the hell is wrong with this team in the second half of every game.
I would give him an A for the first half and a C or lower for the second.

Not with the pick and the fumble, you aren't. B, B+ for the first half, C- for the second.

I did not see Riley do anything yesterday that we have not seen from Heaps all year. We have had no problem moving the ball between the 20s this year. The red zone is where we have struggled. Riley turned it over 3 times, and should have had a fourth on that dumbass throw where he was being tackle. Apo grabbed the defender who was about to make an easy pick and got away with it. Also the screen it did look like Kariya slipped but it would have been a pick 6. He got pretty damn lucky.

I think he played well for the most part but the turnovers are concering and SJSU is terrible. Sorry but Hsaru is correct when he said BYU was in 3rd and short all night which makes things a lot easier on a QB. In fact during the game I specifically remember saying late in the 2nd quarter that this was BYUs first 3rd and 10 of the game, SJSU jumped and Riley had a free play which he floated across the field and Jacobsen hauled it in.

Riley in my opinion after the first quarter of this game was terrible. BYU should have blown this team out and the offense let them hang around.

It was definitely clear that SJSU was not the ideal team to judge ourselves against. I thought we showed some different things offensively last night but I suspect Heaps would have torched SJSU.

I disagree on the Kariya trip. I think that ball went where Kariya would have been had he not tripped.

After rewatching the 4th quarter I thought Nelson bounced back nicely. His throws were on target and the chains were moving. It didn't require a monumental effort though as we were getting large chunks of yardage in the run game.

Couldn't agree more. Judging from the reports yesterday OSU played Arizona tough. I think we will have a much better idea where we are after next Saturday.

True. Riley threw three touchdowns yesterday. That's the same as what Heaps has done all year.

Riley struggled for sure int he second half, but he's a winner and he makes the play action viable.

Heaps should get the mothballs out for his helmet, take a redshirt next year and get his head together then come back for two solid years and make something of his experience.

Heaps has to be able to complete passed to torch anyone, and he's not been able to do so thus far.

If you think Heaps has had any shot in a game to play in a game like yesterday where the running backs are consistently getting 7 yards a carry on 1st down even though the defense is stacking the box than I think you are a lost cause. The secondary talent was just abysmal too trying to play mainly without the safeties help.

Gary Anderson last week said that when Heaps was in there they played bracket coverage and let BYU have some things in the run game because they weren't going to beat USU with just running the ball. SJSU would've got run for 350-400 rushing yards if they tried that with how outmanned they were in the front 7.

Be a little more dramatic, please.

The secondary had to key on three players (including Nelson), something they wouldn't have to do with Heaps.

Nelson's ability to move opens up the entire offense.

However, I am not clear how being able to run for any yards has to do with Heaps not being able to hit the broadside of a semi thus far.

BYU had some of the worst 3rd down and distance to go in the entire country for the most of the year, having 2nd and 2 with a team that needs to stack the box almost every down is not like anything Jake has faced this year...

Nelson had them on their heels from the first drive with his running and passing.

I don't want to pile on, but you're not doing much for yourself. Bad QB's generally put themselves in bad 3rd down distance situations. It's one of those defining characteristics of a bad QB.
