My thoughts on the game:
Sure was nice to have the defense not on field the whole game
Sure was nice to see the offensive line blowing up the defense. Yes they gave up sacks but at least three of those were coverage sacks and the others were pitt bringing the house.
Did Utah throw deep all game? Why was hayes throwing sidearm? On third and 10 it would have been nice to be in shotgun to give hayes a little more time to read the D.
Utah has way to0 many hot heads. Cullen and White are at the top of the list. I am surprised that last PF was on Cullen.
Punting has been a problem for 2.5 years now. Sellwood was slow to punt and now marsh. Someone tell griff mcnabb that he needs to call fair catch more."Be a philosopher. Hays not throwing downfield was probably due to the wind and how Pitt was playing on defense. The game plan was very vanilla, which is understandable with Pitt's inept offense and 10 TOs the last two weeks. Agree about Hays in the gun. Would like to see more spread looks.Comment

reading how bad the wind was from people who attended the game, I can understand why Hays didn't throw downfield. That's just too risky, especially for a team that's been careless with the ball as of late.Comment

I understand why they didn't take shots downfield. You could see the wind on the T.V. Both the offense and defense had a good game plan and they executed on it. I am very happy with the way the team played yesterday. It is never easy for teams from the west to travel across the country and have a noon est. kick-off. It was a really good win for the Utes.
