Granted. However, in most games you can point to pivotal moments that change momentum and the flow of the game overall. That one play is definitely one of them. But you are correct, two special team crap fests really made this an impossible game to win.

How do you explain his 210 yards passing a td and no picks in the 1st half against a very good defense with Utah even with only 2 rushing yards and the OL getting dominated?

Are you saying they couldn't hit a curveball?

Heaps' problem wasn't necessarily not being able to move the ball, but once he got into the redzone the drives just stalled. He's decent between the 20s. It was t until he played against really bad pass defenses that he could score in the redzone consistently.

The question was would Heaps be able to move the ball against a defense like TCU...

If JJ doesn't fumble at the six going in for a score at a point where it looked like Utah couldn't stop us on Offense the game could have gone in a much different direction. Quezada's fumble at the 50 and Brown's abysmal snap didn't help much either.

I'm sure with Heaps great ability to throw the long ball, with a great spiral and that he keeps his elbows up and is such a student of the game that no.

Want a better answer? Again no....I think Utah was bent on letting Heaps get anything he wanted between the twenties and to stop the run. Which they did. And they were ahead at half-time. What are your theories?

                      • Why the yewt is Matt Barkley still USC's QB he should have never seen the field after losing to Oregon St. 36-7 in his soph year and he was 10/19 for 75 yards and no tds and an int for a 3.3 ypa avg. Clearly he should have been asked to redshirt the next year as he just wasn't ready. And he led a mighty talented USC team to a dazzling 7-5 record. He clearly earned back the team's trust with a dazzling 15/26 for 198 yards 1 td 2 picks in his next game.

Get that vacuous bullshit out of here.

Barkley put on his big boy pants, worked his tail off to improve his playing ability, and became the outstanding player he now is. If he quit talking to his coach, had his private coach send out 'feelers' to other schools behind the scenes, and eventually quit to go somewhere else then Barkley would be an appropriate comparison.

Everyone clearly loves dealing with you, as I've noticed from the numerous profanity laced posts directed at you. I know I'm being obnoxious, you are completely non self-aware to a laughable degree.

                              • I think it is funny that we all seem to know what is best for the kid...

By the way, why hasn't this been discussed:

"For more than a month — since the 54-10 loss to Utah — he and his quarterback coach Brandon Doman have hardly exchanged words."

That sounds like an awful coach, if true. I'd want to leave, too, if that happened. Sounds malignant.
"Don't expect I'll see you 'till after the race"

"So where does the power come from to see the race to its end...from within"
