I'm blazing a trail out of Doomsville and leaving all the sorry saps behind to wallow in their misery and filth. Time to look forward to UCF coming to town. Friday evening game, the energy will likely be low but I think everyone on the team now has something huge to prove....to themselves most of all.
UCF looked good in week 1 but is coming off a loss to Florida something or other. However, they have to be salivating a bit looking at BYU game tape from this season.
Thoughts on the Knights?
I am predicting an attendance of maybe 55,000. I know that sounds bleak but I have a feeling that people are taking up residence in Doomsville and won't return until this team has notched a convincing win under its belt.
Count me as one that will be in attendance. Tickets will likely cost $10 at the door. Cheap date night!
Who here is man among you? Which of you will rise up, shake off these chains, and stand and be counted? WHO IS WITH ME?!?
Thanks for this. No really, thanks!
As always, I'll be watching the game on tv since it is more than a 10 hour drive away. Looking forward to Heaps lighting up the UCF defense.

I won't be there. However, one of kids and his wife or my grandchild will be.
I will play golf and then go home and watch and cheer and pull for the cougars. I will bet we win. I even think we will beat USU.
Last night I about ran off the road while falling asleep and my kid yelling, Dad let me drive for hell sakes. The trip is just too much for an old man and it ain't worth it anymore.
However, I am still a fan and don't call me a pharisee or saducee. Well go ahead if you want, I don't give a shit.
I guess I'll be the Jay Santos Memorial Pessimist about this game. I saw NOTHING from BYU that makes me think we should be a favorite over UCF or Utah State. It makes me gag to say that, but it's true. I still hope we win though.
I'm so tired of the sloganeering and football 5th mentality. I want to win, and win big. Wish we cold against UCF.

People confuse my criticism with being a pessimist. I'm truly an optimist. Even if we played Utah again Saturday, I'd be there expecting a win. Expecting Heaps and Doman to put it together, and sure the the annihilation of our defense was a fluke.
UCF is a good team they beat Charlston Southern 62-0 and Boston College 30-3. They lost to Fla International 17-10 but FLA INt. is now 3-0 with wins over North Texas 41-16 and at Louisville 24-17.
This game will not be a gimme. In fact, I see BYU losing by a touchdown or less.
I could also see BYU rebounding this week to a win, but I wonder how fragile the psyche of the team is right now. They need to pull it together or they will get run again.
I think the line opened up with BYU as a 3-4 point favorite.

If the running game is going to come alive, this is the week to do it. If we can tire out their defense with some long drives, they should be sucking wind by the 4th quarter. I think we win by 10.

If I were Doman, this would be my approach. Run on every 1st and 2nd down matter what. Let the oline show that they can create opportunities for our D2 backs. Shorten the game. Give our D time to rest (barring 6 fumbles of course). Take the pressure off of Heaps and put it on a veteran and seasoned line. Hopefully Lance Reynolds gets a say in the O game plan.

well, it should be no surprise that there are lots of cheap tickets for sale. The market ceiling has been set and it is definitely a buyer's market.
4 days out and you can get 35 yrd line side benches for $25 each. Chairbacks for a little more than that. I'm also seeing several season ticket packages for sale for all remaining home games. Really decent prices.
I'm guessing a floor online of about $10 each for decent or good seats on Thursday with a ceiling for premiums at about $35 each, max. Game day will see prices drop to half of that and don't be surprised to see freebies outside the stadium. I havent checked the weather but if it rains, the stadium will be half full (optimist!)
If you do not already have tickets, do NOT buy until Wed at the earliest unless someone offers you excellent seats less than $20 today or tomorrow.
