Your last post shows that your flight pattern here is troll the cougars, but deep inside there truly is intelligence and reason between your ears. This is giving me a headache.

Not to mention extensive use of metaphor.

This coming from the fan of a team that lost 54-10 to Utah. I'd say the jury is still out on UW's trajectory.

          • Everyone needs to chill out. Cougars, you're sounding more and more like the child left behind.

Utes, I gotta say you're getting what you asked for in the PAC12, but ultimately this will pay off.

Wynn has a receiver behind the D and instead of throwing it high and over the D, he throws it straight to the Dback. I mean right to him. That could have put us up 14-7 or at least 10-7. That was a mood killer and the thing that just keeps bothering me that there was no excuse for it. Our wr had the D beat by a step and a fade may have worked and the OLine was holding the D's charge off so Whnn had time. That play is bothering me tonight because it was a huge momentum changer. That and allowing the fg at the end of the second quarter because of 30 yards in penalties, are making me play the "what if" game tonight. Those were 2 huge gifts to Washington.
Fuegote tweeted that Wynn was showing symptoms of the shoulder problem on the play right before the goal line INT. If you watch at the 11:42 mark in the 2nd, Wynn falls down awkwardly on his left arm, and comes up slowly. On the next play, he keeps his left arm in tight when throwing the ball, and it has zero velocity. Easy picking for the DB.

Whether or not he injured it on that play, only he knows for sure.

If these two teams played again, who the hell knows would win. Same with Utah and BYU. Those three teams are so evenly matched one could beat the other on any given day, but we see the devastation instantaneous lapses can cause.

This truth is terrible because we Ute fans can't comfort ourselves that our team really is 44 points better than BYU, and it's awful because we know what might have been--that we might have beaten the Huskies 31-14.

Maybe the worst part is you can't coach away lapses like Wynn's horrendous interception in the second quarter, a bullet straight into the hands of the defender while Chistopher was wide open behind him in the End Zone. You can't coach away Lacy's killer fumble on the opening kick off; you tell him to keep fighting till he's down, to keep fighting for that seam and maybe he'll break loose for a long return. But the risk is that someone will strip the ball amid these heriocs and disaster will ensue; and you can't coach that from happening. Shit happens.

It's awful to contemplate that so much of life is so random, so arbitrary. But it is. It just is.
This is one of the most intelligent football posts I've ever read on this site, and from Seattle Ute of all people. Apparently something good can come out of Nazareth.

I think, perhaps, the only person who hates BYU fans more than ute fans hate BYU fans, is Bronco Mendenhall.

Correct, except for the part about SU being the only one courageous and wise enough to make those iconoclastic observations.

lol! Because you're known for such observations. Don't hurt your elbow patting yourself on the back.

If you're active and believing LDS you're probably disqualified from fully appreciating my post. My post is not compatible with your outlook.

We Utes are the ones who are fully capable of seperating football from religion.

Fantasy also seems to be at play.

                          • It's interesting watching SU cuddle up to BYU fans.

mp and Boylen are going to have to make some room on the LoveSac!

I have generally gotten along better with BYU fans that Ute fans. You of all people should know that. (There are a few exceptions such as LA, BO, Senioritis and U-Ute.)
