You guys have some high expectations for your QBs. 168 pass efficiency in the 2nd half. The all-time NCAA record for a season is 175. Kellen Moores career PE is 167. Heaps was at 168 in the 2nd half which is outstanding. I guess that is average considering the great QB tradition you guys have up at Utah.*Banned*

My comment was referencing whole games, not just half games. Sorry, I should have been more clear.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostYou guys have some high expectations for your QBs. 168 pass efficiency in the 2nd half. I agree. That isn't to say Doman and the offense were bad, but they weren't good. There is a lot of room for improvement and I am confident it will happen. And soon actually.Originally posted by All-American View PostAnd the team looked like they were playing in a new offense under a new offensive coordinator.
Doman commented after the game that Heaps got "big eyes" after that corner blitz. Both said last year's team would have lost this game and I agree. It's too bad it took Jake a half to shake that off. But I think that will improve too. His 2nd half drives after the pick really showed me something."Nobody listens to Turtle."-Turtlesigpic

No I didn't watch it.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostI gave an explanation on my previous post for those that actually watched the game. (I am guessing you are one that did not watch either).
But I wasn't commenting on the game.
I was commenting on your criticism of Funk's trolling ability (that I did watch), which you then promptly responded to.
Does that make sense now?I intend to live forever.
So far, so good.

Like I said you didn't watch the game. I mean this in the kindest way possible, STFU and go post in the threads about new science discoveries and child molestors as you know nothing about sports.Originally posted by Brian View PostNo I didn't watch it.

Keeton. Definitely Keeton. Is this a trick question?Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostSo who had the better game Heaps or Keeton of Utah State?"In conclusion, let me give a shout-out to dirty sex. What a great thing it is" - Northwestcoug

Well, I don't know how I could be more clear. What did my post have to do about sports?Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostLike I said you didn't watch the game. You said funk was bad at trolling.
Then you type a paragraph or two responding to this trolling post.
I'm confused. Now I'm being invited out of this thread because I didn't watch the game, even though my point had nothing to do with watching the game.
Child molester threads, I didn't know there were any. But then again I've never searched for any.
Hmmm...I intend to live forever.

FWIW I did watch the game. I wasn't sure if my time was better spent watching the game or rewatching the Ute Montana st game to give a Heaps v. Utah st caliber defense to prove he played well.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostFunk quit trying to troll you really are not good at it. Heaps was off in the first half he missed a lot of easy throws. I know you didn't watch the game so in reality you should not even be commenting. Hell you live 20 miles from your teams home stadium and don't even attend those games, so maybe defer to a few other ute fans that know what they are talking about.
Heaps had several shot gun snaps floated to him that he could not handle and one that was so bad he never got a grip and fumbled it. In the 2nd half it completely changed and so did Heaps efficiency. Was it hte main reason it was better in the 2nd half I doubt it but it was one of a few minor details that added up to a lot more production.
His PE was 168 in the 2nd half which would put him atop the country last year.

This is a silly thread. I don't know much about football, but I know enough to not condemn a first time coordinator for his first game, played 1500 miles from home, in a game he won.
I hired a guy last week. maybe some of you could come visit our office on Tuesday, check out his performance, and tell me if he sucks.
By the way, here are BYU's results in first games of the season in the Mendenhall era:
