Wynn's shoulder is shot. He is not the same guy that we saw as a freshman. I've realize that I need to stop piling on the guy, because clearly injuries are a factor in his regression. I'm concerned this is going to be a long season for the Utes.As I lead this army, make room for mistakes and depression

Not even cougjunkie is this pessimistic about Wynn. He didn't look great with what he was asked to do, but come on, they called one down field pass for him the whole game. You can't say his arm is shot from watching that game. Rusty, I will grant.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostWynn's shoulder is shot. He is not the same guy that we saw as a freshman. Student section showing 55 false starts at the end of the game, junkie must be going nuts!Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostNot only do the utes inflate attendance numbers but they inflate their gimmicks. Looking at the box score in two years combined with Urban Ute tight ends didn't have this many catches. (10). Wynn 15-23 for 101 yards. Montana St. did a decent job of getting pressure on him too. Utah only has 1 drive over 60yards in the game. Their second half drive summary was rough.
Ute receivers with 4 total catches. (3 if you think ransom is a tight end like Steve Brown).
Also Tauni Vakapuna 10 carries for 16 yars against FCS West. Sean Sellwood had more rushing yards than he did.
The good is the Ute d-line was as good as advertised. 29 carries for 75 yards for Montana st.
I thought Blechen was solid, and the Ute D looked very fast. (hard to tell since it is montana st.). Shelby and Lotulelei (who byu signed as a 220 pound d-end) are monsters.
John White was great, and for a little guy does a great job after contact.
First game, new offense, they should improve.*Banned*

Also, we have a running back they couldn't stop and I don't remember any play action unless it was on that bomb. That will be part of the offense going forward. Again, I'm not arguing it looked good, but I will bet anyone who wants to take me up on it that we see a totally different offensive look next week. Not saying it is going to be successful, but what we saw tonight is not what we will see the next two weeks in terms of scheme or play calling, IMO.

I don't know if this should concern me, but I agree with all your points.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostLooking at the box score in two years combined with Urban Ute tight ends didn't have this many catches.
