SU keeps telling me Oregon is only a snap shot in time and Washington is on par with USC. Also it makes as much sense as Utah and Colorado into the Pacific 12.

Is having a big time fan base enough without the product?

Showing your school colors show says you are a fan, showing you were picked for something while your rival wasn't is turning the screw. Much like you saw many here start talking about how much better the B12 was than the P12 :eyeroll: , when it looked like BYU was going to be invited there. Had BYU been picked and Utah left out the conference logos would just be in blue instead of red.
I can guarantee you there are SEC logos all over College Station, Texas.

The first time I saw a dude in an Aeropastale tee shirt, it was from an angle and appeared to read "Apostate" to me. I was shocked at how uncreative it seemed. When the guy turned and I saw what was really on his shirt, I was appalled at the misspelling of apostate.

I was really disapointed when I found out that Aeropastale was a brand.

              • I think it is "Aeropostale."

Like you, I am disappointed when I see someone wearing the Aeropostale brand. My reasons apparently are different, but we both share in disappointment.

His most recent giveaway was an extra month of emails for every win the football and basketball team amassed this school year. I have "unsubscribed" a few times but nothing works. He won't go away. btw when are you going to get back to me about that exciting business opportunity, I've been telling you about?

I absolutely agree. In fact there would like be even more, considering how insecure we (byu fans and lds) are in general. But it will still be just as lame. Maybe it comes from living outside of Utah, but I couldn't imagine ever wearing anything like that around here.

PS: I saw 3 different Joseph's Myth stickers in SLC. Though it is possible I saw the same one twice; I was so surprised by the first one I saw, I didn't pay much attention to the car it was on.

                  • I'm unfamiliar with Joseph's Myth. A google image search of "Joseph's Myth bumper sticker" reveals nothing http://www.google.com/search?q=Josep...e=off&tbm=isch, except this is the first image

Which if that's what it is I want 2!

Also one that says "I heart Your Wife!"

                      • Interesting article on the PAC-12 Network.

Guess how much money Oregon and Oregon State made from the Pac-12 Networks last year.

The answer is ... none, as in zero. Zilch.

Oregon isn't projecting any revenue from the Pac-12 Networks for the current fiscal year, either.

That annual $20 million to $24 million in television money that was expected to come to the Pac-12 schools has been light so far.

That doesn't mean the conference is bereft. There is still plenty of television money from other sources, thanks to the $3 billion, 12-year deal the conference signed with ESPN/ABC and Fox in 2011.

                        • Hate to be a bearer of bad news....BYU will never be accepted by the PAC 12 and here's why. First you have to think like a university President, (they are the final decision makers and voters to admit a school) what they look for are good fits to the academic and cultural profile that there conference projects, members of AAU, high research yada yada yada. Cultural profile is where BYU not a fit for them, BYU is a religious affiliated university, the PAC 12 Presidents will never accept a religious affiliated university, just ask Baylor, when it look like Texas,OU, Texas Tech and Texas A&M might go to the PAC 12, guess who was left out. I know this might not be palpable to hear this...it is what it is. You have better chance of getting into the BIG 12 along as you're willing to be one of UT's bitches.
